Mortal Shell 2: Ruk Raven Location at the Outskirts of Mammon

The exact route from the Outskirts of Mammon beacon to Ruk's perch, plus what the Map of Mammon 5 reveals.

The exact route from the Outskirts of Mammon beacon to Ruk’s perch, plus what the Map of Mammon 5 reveals.

The Ruins of Mammon open up with almost nothing filled in on your map, and the fix sits a short run from the very first beacon in the region. Ruk, the crow-like guide who hands out map fragments across Fallgrim, perches on a stone statue just downhill from the Outskirts of Mammon beacon. Talking to him hands over the first Mammon fragment and lights up the terrain around the starting area.

Quick answer: From the Outskirts of Mammon beacon, head down the slope to the west, drop down the ledges, cross the wooden bridge, kill the two guards on the platform, and interact with Ruk on the statue to receive Map of Mammon [5].

Map of Mammon 5: What the perch gives you

Every map fragment in Mortal Shell 2 comes from a Ruk statue, and each one only clears the fog around its own patch of the world. There are 11 fragments in total, five in Fainweald and six in the Ruins of Mammon. The one near the Outskirts of Mammon beacon is the earliest and cheapest to grab, because that beacon is already cleansed and can be fast travelled to by default.

Route from the Outskirts of Mammon beacon to Ruk

Fast travel to the Outskirts of Mammon beacon and rest there first. Enemies respawn when you rest, but you want full health and flask charges before the drop down, since the path ends in a fight.
Face away from the beacon and take the path heading right, down the western slope. You will pass a few roaming enemies on the way, and none of them need to be killed to reach the statue.

Drop down the ledges below the path and keep following the trail along the cliffside. Weltcaps grow along this stretch, so grab them as you go since they cost nothing but a second of walking.

Cross the wooden bridge at the end of the trail. It leads straight onto a small guarded platform with the statue visible on the far side.
Clear the two guards standing near the statue. Thinning them out with a sidearm before you close the gap works well, and a heavy weapon such as a greataxe breaks their posture quickly once you are in range.
Walk up to the statue and interact with Ruk perched on top of it. He hands over the fragment and takes off, and the surrounding map area fills in immediately.

How to confirm the map fragment registered

Two things tell you it worked. The pickup feed shows Map of Mammon [5], and the item sits in your inventory afterwards. Open the world map and the fog around the Outskirts of Mammon will be gone, with the beacon marker and nearby location icons now visible instead of blank terrain.

Note: the revealed patch is small on purpose. Fragments never uncover a whole region, so the rest of Mammon stays dark until you find the other five statues.

If Ruk is not on the statue

Ruk leaves a perch once you have taken its fragment, so an empty statue almost always means the map is already sitting in your inventory. Check the map screen for the Outskirts of Mammon area before backtracking. The fragment markers themselves are drawn through the fog of war, which is why the statue icon can look reachable while the route to it stays hidden.

Fast travel is the other common snag. Beacons only become teleport destinations after you have collected and siphoned at least five extra Ova following your first visit to Marrow Keep, which grants Mether’s Breath. Before that point you can still reach the statue on foot, since the Outskirts of Mammon beacon is the region’s default arrival spot and no corrupted growths block the path west.

Once the fragment is in hand, the ground you just crossed is worth a second look. The catapult that accepts the Makeshift Projectile sits by the same clearing, and the path below it leads to a bone gate you can use to jump the gap toward the Abandoned Outpost beacon, which is the natural next stop heading west through Mammon.
