The Telescope at the Laboratory stays dark until you slot a lens. Five lenses exist. Four are built by Astronomer Vega. The last one comes from Brayden after you collect six Broken Stars.
Quick answer: Hand Vega the materials for the Moonlit, Experimental, Seasonal, and Deep Lenses. Start Brayden’s quest at GPS (21628, 141, 4483) and pick up all six Broken Stars for the Stellar Lens.

Astral Anomaly bonuses
Each lens opens one Astral Anomaly. The bonus hits the whole server, not just you. Swap lenses at the Astronomer when you want a different effect.
| Lens | Anomaly | Server bonus |
|---|---|---|
| Stellar Lens | Celestial Congregation | +25% Luck |
| Deep Lens | Abyssal Alignment | +25% Catch Weight |
| Seasonal Lens | Evershifting Eclipse | +25% XP |
| Experimental Lens | Meteoric Outburst | 4–6 items per meteor (instead of 1) and higher Gem odds |
| Moonlit Lens | Lunar Eclipse | 5% chance for Aurora, Lunar, Celestial, and Nova Mutation |

Add to Google Preferences →Equip a lens at the Laboratory
Talk to the Astronomer to swap and equip any lens you already own. Use the Telescope at the Laboratory after that. The matching anomaly can then fire for everyone on the server.
Anomalies only start at night. Only one can run at a time. If another anomaly is already up, wait it out or leave that bonus in place.

Craft four lenses with Astronomer Vega
Vega builds the Moonlit, Experimental, Seasonal, and Deep Lenses. Bring the exact stack below. The Stellar Lens is not a Vega craft.
| Lens | Materials for Vega |
|---|---|
| Deep Lens | x1 Hardened Glass, x1 Abyssal Comb Jelly, x1 Abyssal Resin |
| Seasonal Lens | x1 Seasonal Glass, x1 any Seasonal Everturn Sturgeon, x1 Rotting Glass Diamond |
| Experimental Lens | x1 Quartz Glass, x1 Chaotic Golden Trout, x1 Fallen Resin |
| Moonlit Lens | x1 Frozen Glass, x1 Aurora Boreal Man O’ War, x1 Frozen Resin |
You know the craft worked when that lens appears in your inventory and the Astronomer can equip it on the Telescope.

Farm resin, glass, and mutations
Three of the four crafts share a Resin trip. The glass pieces sit in different Astral caverns. The fish need a specific rod so the mutation actually lands.
Mushgrove Swamp resin
Resin is a Secret catch in Mushgrove Swamp. No bait, weather, season, or time gate is listed for it. That same swamp trip covers Abyssal Resin, Fallen Resin, and Frozen Resin once you apply the right mutation.
Use the Abyssal Specter Rod or the Rod of Depths for the Abyssal mutation. Use the Arctic Rod for Frozen. For Fallen Resin, use the Shady Appraiser. Do not lean on the Fallen Rod for that last one.

Astral cavern glass
Each Exotic glass piece has its own cavern. Magnet bait is the usual tool when a bait is listed. Frozen Glass also wants night.
| Glass | Cavern | How to reach it |
|---|---|---|
| Hardened Glass (Exotic) | Abyssal Zenith Astral Cavern | GPS (-13774, -11179, 173), under the main Zenith Pool. Magnet bait. |
| Seasonal Glass (Exotic) | Everturn Forest Astral Cave | Fish the center of Everturn Forest Falls at GPS (2466, 140, -2618) to enter. |
| Quartz Glass (Exotic) | Cryogenic Canal Astral Cavern | GPS (20047, 610, 5857) on Northern Expedition Island. Magnet bait. Any weather. |
| Frozen Glass (Exotic) | Snowcap Blue Moon Astral Cavern | Magnet bait at night. |
Mutated fish and rods
The glass is only half the recipe. You still need one mutated fish (or a Rotting Glass Diamond) for each craft.
| Item | Spot | Catch notes |
|---|---|---|
| Abyssal Comb Jelly (Mythical) | Abyssal Zenith Astral Cavern | Same cavern as Hardened Glass. |
| Floraseer Sturgeon (Mythical) | Everturn Forest | Phantom Leech. Clear. Spring. Night. Seasonal Rod. |
| Glaciaseer Sturgeon (Mythical) | Everturn Forest | Golden Shrimp Bait. Rain. Winter. Night. Seasonal Rod. |
| Solarseer Sturgeon (Mythical) | Everturn Forest | Super Flakes. Clear. Summer. Night. Seasonal Rod. |
| Umbraleaf Sturgeon (Mythical) | Everturn Forest | Night Shrimp. Clear or Rain. Autumn. Night. Seasonal Rod. |
| Glass Diamond (Mythical) | Overgrowth Caves | Apply Rotting with the Splitbranch Twig. |
| Golden Trout (Rare) | Cryogenic Canal Astral Cavern | Apply Chaotic with the Duskwire Rod. |
| Boreal Man O’ War (Mythical) | Boreal Hollow | Enter from Boreal Island at GPS (21385, 249, 3816). Minnow. Rain. Winter. Night. Aurora Rod for the Aurora mutation. |
Any one of the four Seasonal Everturn Sturgeons satisfies the Seasonal Lens. Match the season and bait in the table or you will sit on the wrong fish.

Unlock the Stellar Lens
The Stellar Lens is a quest item, not a Vega craft. Brayden wants six Broken Stars scattered around the map.
| Area | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Terrapin Island | (124, 200, 1978) |
| Roslit Bay Volcano | (-2001, 190, 389) |
| Mushgrove Swamp | (2519, 156, -921) |
| Ancient Isle | (6142, 391, 657) |
| Snowcap Island | Base of the large central icicle, next to a tree |
| Moosewood | Top of the lighthouse, beside the wooden railing |

Anomaly will not start
If the sky stays quiet, check three things. It has to be night. No other Astral Anomaly can already be running. The lens you want must be equipped on the Telescope through the Astronomer, not just sitting in your bag.
Once a lens is equipped, pick the bonus you want for that night and leave it there. Luck, weight, XP, meteor loot, or mutation chance. One anomaly at a time is the whole rule.
