Mortal Shell 2: Ruk Raven Location at Prophet’s Rest

Reach The Hag's Path from Prophet's Rest and take Map of Fainweald [1] from Ruk.

Reach The Hag’s Path from Prophet’s Rest and take Map of Fainweald [1] from Ruk.

Ruk does not sit inside Prophet’s Rest. The giant raven waits one climb away on The Hag’s Path, and talking to him is what hands over Map of Fainweald [1].

Quick answer: Start at Prophet’s Rest, run east along the shoreline through the stone arches, revitalize the Outskirts of Nochte beacon, climb the mountain trail into The Hag’s Path, and speak to Ruk.

The Hag’s Path Ruk perch

Ruk is the crow-like guide who sits on distinct statues across Fainweald. The Prophet’s Rest perch is the one on The Hag’s Path, on a bluff that looks over the waterlogged ground below. That statue is the one that matters for this map fragment.

Interact with Ruk and he offers the fragment himself. The lines on screen are short. He says he brought a gift, then tells you to go on. Accept it and the reward is Map of Fainweald [1], which clears fog from that slice of the region.

If you drop south from the Prophet’s Rest Bone Gate into the ritual rings first, you are at Smert’s slab, not Ruk. From that altar, turn northeast to reach The Hag’s Path.

Prophet’s Rest route to Ruk

Prophet’s Rest sits on the island south of the Citadel of Penance. The usual way in is the teleporter on the southern cliff of Desolate Peak. If you are still in the citadel, take the southern Bone Gate to Desolate Peak, then the next Bone Gate into Prophet’s Rest. Once you are on that island, the walk to Ruk is short.

Stand at Prophet’s Rest and face the water. Confirm the area name on your map before you move so you do not start the eastbound run from the wrong island.
Run east along the shoreline. Pass through the stone arches and keep to the coast instead of climbing south into the ritual ground. Enemies on this stretch can be ignored if you only want the raven.

Stop at the Outskirts of Nochte beacon on the shallow edge of the swamp. Hold the interact prompt to revitalize it. The area name should read Outskirts of Nochte, and the screen should confirm the beacon is found before you leave.

Leave the beacon and take the mountain trail uphill. From the beacon, cut northwest past the crabs, then turn east and go through the arch. That arch is the entrance to The Hag’s Path.
Follow the path to the top and walk up to the large statue. Speak to Ruk. Do not leave until the gift dialogue finishes and the map is in your inventory.

Map of Fainweald [1] confirmation

The pickup is finished when the screen shows MAP OF FAINWEALD [1] and NEW MAP ACQUIRED. Open the map after that. Fog should lift over the Nochte stretch you just walked, and the perch should sit northeast of the Outskirts of Nochte beacon inside The Hag’s Path.

If nothing drops, you are on the wrong statue or you left before the dialogue closed. The ritual ground south of the Prophet’s Rest Bone Gate is not Ruk. Backtrack to the Outskirts of Nochte beacon and take the arch into The Hag’s Path again.

Once the fragment is yours, the job at this perch is done. Fast travel back out from the Outskirts of Nochte beacon if you tagged it, or drop southwest from The Hag’s Path to return to that same rest point.
