Fortnite Power-Ups: How to Get Them in Chapter 7 Season 4

Power-Ups are rare special items in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4, the Override update that went live on August 20, 2026. They grant strong buffs you can’t get from normal loot, and each one you collect ticks up the Acquire 8 Power Ups quest attached to the Meowscles Wrixel style. The catch is that they don’t appear in regular chests, so you have to trigger the few spawn methods that produce them.

Quick answer: Call a Llama Supply Drop from the Gizmo wheel and open its crate, or defeat a wandering boss such as Dr. Eggman or Hush. Both can drop a Power-Up, though the roll is random. Repeat until you have collected eight to finish the Acquire 8 Power Ups quest. Collecting the same Power-Up more than once still counts.

The two Power-Ups you can collect right now

Only two Power-Ups are in the game at launch, and both feed the same quest counter. You do not need eight different types. The same item collected eight times will complete the objective.

Power-Up	Effect
1-Up Token	Respawn with your full inventory intact after being eliminated.
God Mode Llama	Grants a short burst of very fast movement that smashes through obstacles in your path.

More Power-Ups may be added later in the season, which would give you extra ways to reach eight. For now, plan around these two.

Use a Llama Supply Drop from the Gizmo wheel

The Llama Supply Drop is the most direct method, and it’s the one to prioritize when you have the Gizmo available. It reliably produces the God Mode Llama and can also cough up other Power-Ups from its loot pool. It is not guaranteed every drop, so expect to call in a few.

Walk up to the crate and open it. Check the loot inside for a Power-Up sitting among the weapons and consumables.

If no Power-Up appears, call another Llama Supply Drop and repeat. When you run out of Gizmos, you can obtain more by entering the O2Override admin panel Lobby Hack, which rewards a drop box, or by completing the Wrixel Ziggy Get Crafty questline.

Defeat bosses for a 1-Up Token

Bosses roam the island and have a chance to drop a 1-Up Token when eliminated. The drop is rare, so a single boss kill often gives nothing. Two reliable targets are Dr. Eggman at the Green Hill POI and Hush at Reality’s Rain.

Watch your map for the white and red skull icon after the first storm circle starts closing. Bosses usually appear around that point, though some can spawn right at the beginning of a round.

Travel to the boss, deal enough damage to eliminate it, and inspect the loot it drops. A 1-Up Token, if it rolls, appears among the dropped items for you to pick up.

Note: Boss areas draw a crowd. You can be eliminated before you finish the fight or lose the drop to another player, so approach with full shields and a clear escape route.

The Extra Life Match Override

Activating an Override Console can trigger the Extra Life Match Override, which gives you a spare life during the match much like the 1-Up Token does. Keep in mind this is an Override effect, not the token item itself, so treat it as a similar benefit rather than a guaranteed way to bank quest progress.

How to confirm quest progress

When you pick up a Power-Up, an on-screen prompt reads something like “1-UP TOKEN POWER UP ACQUIRED,” and you gain XP. Open the Quests screen under Build-a-Wrixel and check the Acquire Power-Ups counter. Each collected Power-Up moves it up by one, from 0/8 toward 8/8. Once the counter hits eight, the quest completes, and the Meowscles Wrixel style unlocks.

The most efficient way to reach eight

Chasing bosses every single match is slow because the crowded fights and rare drop rate can leave you empty-handed. A steadier approach is to fold Power-Up hunting into your normal matches. Deploy any Llama Supply Drop Gizmos you’re carrying, take boss kills when they line up naturally, and grab any guaranteed opportunities that appear.

Because luck drives every drop, treat the Acquire 8 Power-Ups quest as a background objective to chip away at over several sessions rather than one you rush in a single sitting. If Epic adds more Power-Ups later in the season, reaching eight will get easier.
