Rex Infernus: How to Get the Corrupted Olympia (BO7 Zombies)

The Olympia is back in Black Ops 7 Zombies as a Legacy weapon on Rex Infernus, carrying an Ultra rarity that is unique to this map. You can pull the standard version from the Mystery Box, but a Corrupted variant hides behind a small side quest tied to the M10 Breacher Wall-Buy. The steps are strict, and one requirement has to be met before you even start.

Quick answer: On Round 25 or later, buy the M10 Breacher at Caltheris’ Passage while it is glowing, craft an Astral Flame at Pack-a-Punch, wait for a rain round, throw the flame at the M10 Breacher Wall-Buy, kill the Web Mother that spawns, then sprint the Unstable Olympia to Pack-a-Punch to stabilize it.

Requirements before you start

Two conditions gate the entire quest. If either one is missing, the M10 Breacher will not transform later, no matter what else you do.

Requirement	Detail
Round	You must be on Round 25 or higher.
Weapon purchase	Buy the M10 Breacher from Caltheris’ Passage while the Wall-Buy is glowing.
One per game	The same process on the M34 Novaline yields the TR2 instead. You can only complete one, so you cannot have both the Olympia and the TR2.

Create an Astral Flame at Pack-a-Punch

Return to the Nexus Forge and grab a Void Claw from one of the grapple pedestals. Use it to pull a floating purple orb toward the Pack-a-Punch until the orb starts spinning around the machine’s astronomy rings.

Interact with the Cranks at Pack-a-Punch to absorb the orb’s energy. The braziers will then start producing the purple Astral Flame. Do this quickly, because the orb disappears after a short time and you will need to pull a fresh one if it vanishes.

Trigger a rain round

The transformation only works while it is raining. Rain arrives in two situations, so pick whichever fits your run.

Method	How it works
Deathspinner round	Rain occurs naturally on every spider round.
Blue well	Activate the blue well through the Veytharion block puzzle. The next round will start raining.

The blue well is the more reliable route since you can set it up on demand rather than waiting for a spider round to roll around.

Convert the M10 Breacher into the Unstable Olympia

With rain falling, pick up an Astral Flame from the brazier and throw it at the M10 Breacher Wall-Buy. This has to happen during a rain round or nothing spawns.

A named Web Mother HVT will appear. Kill it so its soul enters the M10 Breacher and turns the Wall-Buy into the Unstable Olympia.

Before you grab the weapon, understand that the Unstable Olympia damages you the moment you pick it up. Immediately run to Pack-a-Punch and stabilize it before it drains your health to zero.

Note: Stabilizing the weapon also lets you Pack-a-Punch it to Tier 1, where it is labeled the “Corrupted Pluto”.

How the Corrupted version behaves

The corruption carries a penalty. Every shot you miss costs you 35 health, so accuracy is not optional once you are wielding it. You know the process worked when the Wall-Buy hands you the stabilized weapon and it survives the trip to Pack-a-Punch without killing you.

Is the Olympia worth the effort?

As a piece of nostalgia, the Olympia is enjoyable, but its damage falls off early into the rounds. That drop-off leaves it weak against other shotguns, even with its Ultra rarity bonus damage. The incendiary rounds are a nice touch, though they do not fix the underlying performance.

If you want a shotgun that holds up deep into a run, the Echo-12 remains the stronger pick. Treat the Corrupted Olympia as a collector’s reward rather than a carry weapon, and only chase it if the classic double-barrel is something you specifically want on this map.
