Anime Origins: How to Craft and Evolve Starku (Primordial)

Starku is a Mythic unit in Anime Origins built around Coyote Starrk, the Primera Espada from Bleach. He stands out for one reason most Mythics can’t match. Instead of pulling him from a summon banner, you craft him from Artifacts, then evolve his base form into Starku (Primordial) for a stronger kit that mixes ranged Magic damage with a heavy burst nuke.

Quick answer: Craft Starku (Resurrected) at the Crafting NPC using Wolf Spirit Pistols (White), Lone Wolf Eyepatch, Azure Saint Blade, and 1,500 Gold. Then evolve him into Starku (Primordial) with one Wolf Spirit Pistols (Black) from Karakura Town Legend stage 2, plus the required Remnants.

How to craft Starku (Resurrected)

Starku (Resurrected) is the only unit in the game assembled entirely from crafted Artifacts. You make three Artifacts first, then hand them over with Gold at the Crafting NPC. The materials for those Artifacts drop from the Karakura Town Story stages, so most mid-game players can farm them by replaying that mode.

Complete Karakura Town Story stages repeatedly to collect the KTR material tiers. Each Artifact needs a mix of Ascendant, Perfected, Empowered, and Intact drops.

Once you have all three Artifacts, speak to the Crafting NPC in the lobby and open Starku’s recipe. Confirm the recipe also asks for 1,500 Gold before you commit.

Press the Craft button. Starku (Resurrected) is added to your roster as a Mythic unit ready to level and evolve.

Prepare Starku before evolving

Before you spend evolution materials, check the base form’s stats and lock in the rolls you want. Rerolling on the Resurrected form saves you from redoing it later. The player in the showcase pushed for S/S/S grades on Damage, Cooldown, and Range, and landed the Ascendant trait during trait rerolls.

Open the Stat Reroll menu and use Reroll All to cycle Damage, Cooldown, and Range. Keep rolling until you reach the grades you want, ideally S across the board.

Roll traits separately until you hit one worth keeping. Overseer is the strongest practical trait for Starku because his active abilities run on separate cooldowns, and Rupture is a strong aggressive alternative if you lean into crit.

Feed Soul Candy to level Starku up to 70 so he is ready to slot into stages and hit his evolution requirements.

How to evolve Starku (Resurrected) into Starku (Primordial)

The evolution needs Starku (Resurrected) plus a set of Remnants and one rare gun drop. Most Remnants can be crafted or earned from Challenges, though Prismatic Remnants are the hardest to secure. The gatekeeper is Wolf Spirit Pistols (Black), which only drops from a harder Legend stage.

Play Karakura Town Legend stage 2 to farm Wolf Spirit Pistols (Black). It has a 5% chance to drop on completion, and this stage is tougher than the Story versions, so bring a leveled team.

Gather the Remnants. Craft what you can and clear Challenges for the rest, prioritizing the single Prismatic Remnant since it is the rarest piece.

With every material in hand, open the evolution and confirm. Starku (Resurrected) becomes Starku (Primordial), and his passives and abilities upgrade to the stronger set.

Starku (Primordial) passives and abilities

Starku (Primordial) is a Ground unit built for lane control and burst finishing. His Switch Mode passive lets him toggle between a Gun mode that deals Magic damage and a Sword mode that deals Physical damage. He also slows enemies and punishes those slows with extra damage.

Note: Lone Gunslinger rewards placement. Give Starku open space with no allies crowding his range and he gains the bonus Damage and Range, so isolate him on a lane where he can work alone.

Where Starku lands in the meta

Starku (Primordial) is one of the stronger Mythic Ground carries, valued for a heavy nuke that many other Mythics lack. Community placements rank him near the top of the Mythic pool, sitting just below the three Secret units and the best support and farm picks. His deployment carries a Placement Cost of 750 and a Placement Limit of 3 per match.

In practice, his burst comes from Cero Metralleta while Gun Smoke keeps enemies slowed for consistent bonus damage. That combination makes him reliable against fast movers and shielded enemies, and it holds up well in longer runs like Infinite Mode.

Once the evolution goes through, you can confirm it worked by checking the unit card. It should read Starku (Primordial), display the upgraded passives above, and show the deployment cost of 750 with a placement limit of three. From there, the main practical limits are farming enough Remnants and hitting that 5% pistol drop, so most of the effort sits in the material grind rather than the crafting itself.
