Maze of Frost and Foresight is one of the four minigames inside the Great Expeditionist Challenge, the flagship event for Genshin Impact’s Snezhnaya release. Each stage hands you a small Jack Frost and a set of empty slots. Your job is to drop Prime Ice Constructs into the right spots so the little creature bounces, rolls, and rides its way to the exit.
Quick answer: In the Construction Phase, fill Stage 1 with three Prime Ice Launchpads; Stage 2 with a Cube on the left moving platform, a Launchpad middle-left, and Cubes on the middle-right and far-right static slots; Stage 3 with a Cube on the left moving platform, a Launchpad on the middle moving platform, and a Cube on the right static slot. Then hit the Action Phase to send Jack Frost to the goal.
How the Maze of Frost and Foresight works
Every stage splits into two parts. During the Construction Phase you place Prime Ice Constructs into fixed slots on the map. There are two pieces you will use over and over. A Prime Ice Cube acts as a solid block or bumper, and a Prime Ice Launchpad flings Jack Frost into the air toward the next platform.
Some slots sit on Vertical Moving Platforms that rise and fall, so placement decides not just where a piece goes but when it lines up. Once everything is set, you switch to the Action Phase and watch Jack Frost move on its own. If it drops or misses, you can rebuild and try again with no penalty.

The minigame lives inside the Great Expeditionist Challenge event. To reach the maze, travel to Snezhnograd in Snezhnaya and speak with Liliuo, who opens the Adventurer’s Guild tournament. From the event menu you can jump straight into the Maze of Frost and Foresight and pick any unlocked stage.

The event runs in phases, so not every stage is available at once. The first three maze stages open with the earliest phase, while later stages unlock on a rolling schedule.
| Maze stages | Unlock date |
|---|---|
| Stages 1, 2, and 3 | August 28, 2026 |
| Stages 4, 5, and 6 | August 30, 2026 |
| Stages 7 and 8 | September 1, 2026 |
Stage 1: Bounce and Bound Over Obstacles
The first stage is the gentlest of the set and only asks you to keep Jack Frost airborne over a run of gaps.

Stage 2: Move at the Perfect Moment
This stage mixes a Vertical Moving Platform with three static slots, so the timing of the moving piece matters as much as the placement.

Stage 3: On Board the Cube Express
The last of the opening trio leans hardest on moving platforms. Two of the three slots ride up and down, so the pieces have to be ready when Jack Frost arrives.
How to know a stage cleared and what you earn
A stage counts as complete the moment Jack Frost reaches the destination marker at the end of the Action Phase. You also bank Tournament Points, which push your spot on the Adventurers’ Tournament Leaderboard. Clearing all of a minigame’s stage objectives pays out the full reward bundle.
| Maze of Frost and Foresight reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Primogem | 60 |
| Tournament Points | 6 |
| Guide to Charity | 4 |
| Guide to Fortitude | 4 |
| Guide to Glory | 4 |
| Mystic Enhancement Ore | 9 |
Since every stage lets you Rebuild for free, there is no downside to experimenting once the pieces are placed. Stick to the slot placements above for the first three stages, and Jack Frost will reach the exit on the corrected run. The remaining stages open later in the event schedule, so check back once the next phase goes live to keep climbing the leaderboard toward the free Diona reward.
