Z-mode awakenings in Shindo Life do not sit anywhere near each other on the damage scale. The gap between the bottom of the top ten and the top of it is not a few thousand points — it is roughly ten times the output. Two modes in particular run so far ahead of the rest that they make the rankings below them look like a separate list entirely.
Quick answer: Clay is the highest damage Z-mode awakening at over 1.9 million total damage, followed by Nectar at over 1 million. Every other mode in the top ten lands between 187k and 419k total damage.
Z-mode awakening damage ranking (full list)
Ranks 10 through 3 are separated by tight margins, so a single missed spec attack can flip two neighbouring entries. Ranks 2 and 1 are not close to anything.
| Rank | Z-mode awakening (form) | Total damage |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Clay | 1.9M+ |
| 2 | Nectar | 1M+ |
| 3 | Jinshiki Awakening Mode | 419k+ |
| 4 | Korama Spirit (Form 3) | 371k+ |
| 5 | Demon Gates [Rework] | 336k+ |
| 6 | Gai Tailed Spirit (Form 101) | 299k+ |
| 7 | Seven Heaven v2 (Forms 1 and 7) | 241k+ |
| 8 | Tyn Tailed Spirit (Form 1) | 212k+ |
| 9 | Ryuji Kenichi Mode (Form 1) | 200k+ |
| 10 | Raion Rengoku Mode (Form 2) | 189k |
| 10 | Satori Gold Mode (Form 1) | 187k |
Note: tenth place is shared. Satori Gold Mode and Raion Rengoku Mode land two thousand damage apart, which is close enough that they occupy the same slot rather than separate ones.

Add to Google Preferences →What “total damage” means for a Z-mode
These figures are not single-hit numbers. A Z-mode awakening is entered with the Z key, and the total is what a mode racks up across its full attack sequence on a target that stays in place — training logs and stationary enemies. So a mode with several fast, multi-hit specs can out-total a mode with one enormous burst.

Form matters just as much as the mode name. Raion Rengoku is measured in its second form, Korama Spirit in its third, and Gai Tailed Spirit in Form 101. Running the same bloodline in a different form will not reproduce the number in the table.
Clay and Nectar are in a class of their own
Clay tops the board with more than 1.9 million total damage. Nectar takes second at over 1 million. Between second and third place there is a drop of roughly 600,000 damage, which is larger than the entire spread from third place down to tenth.
Practically, that means the ranking is really two lists stacked together. If raw damage output is the only thing you care about, Clay and Nectar are the answer and the rest of the table is a secondary tier.
The 187k to 419k pack
Jinshiki Awakening Mode leads this group at 419k+, with Korama Spirit in Form 3 just behind at 371k+. Korama also stands in for other Gen 3 third-form tailed spirits, so the number is a reasonable reference point for that whole family rather than one bloodline.
Demon Gates in its reworked state hits 336k+, and Gai Tailed Spirit in Form 101 reaches 299k+. Gai represents the Gen 2 tailed beasts generally, which is why it appears rather than a specific spirit.

Seven Heaven v2, the reworked Seven Gates, totals 241k+ across Form 1 and Form 7 — it needs the final gate to reach that figure. Tyn Tailed Spirit in Form 1 lands at 212k+ as the Gen 1 entry, and Ryuji Kenichi Mode in Form 1 clears 200k+.

At the bottom of the list, Raion Rengoku Mode in Form 2 puts up 189k and Satori Gold Mode in Form 1 puts up 187k. Both still comfortably out-damage most modes that never make the top ten.

Why your damage numbers may be lower
Stat allocation moves these totals directly. Chi raises mode damage and bloodline mode damage as well as your chakra and MD pool, while Nin raises ninjutsu and bloodline damage plus chakra regeneration. A build weighted away from Chi and Nin will not reach the figures above with the same mode.

The game caps at level 1000 with 18,000 total stat points, and reincarnating increases what you can allocate. If you have unspent points, the game will prompt you to press M to invest them — leaving them unspent is the simplest reason a mode underperforms.

How to check a mode’s total yourself
Raw totals are only part of the picture in an actual fight, since a mode that needs a stationary target to reach 1.9 million will not get that chance against a player who keeps moving. But as a ceiling for what each awakening can put out, the order is clear, and Clay is not close to being caught.
