Anime Astral Simulator Update 12 Guide: Tokyo Ward and New Codes

Update 12 pushes Anime Astral Simulator into Tokyo Ghoul territory. World 16, called Tokyo Ward, arrives with a new 100-wave raid, two new gacha pools, a Kagune upgrade system built around RC Cells, a higher level cap, and a Friend Leaderboard tab. Three codes shipped alongside it, and they are the fastest way to bankroll your first summons in the new world.

Quick answer: Open the codes menu, redeem UPDATE12, KAGUNES and FRIENDSLEADERBOARD, and you will bank 600 F2P Tickets, 15 potions and 2 Tower Resets in under a minute.

Update 12 codes and what each one pays out

All three codes went live with the update. Two of them also clear your Tower cooldown, which is worth spending before you queue into anything else.

Launch the game and let the world fully load before touching any menus. Codes will not process on a session that is still streaming in.

Play Anime Astral Simulator on Roblox

Open the codes menu using the Codes button on the side of the screen, marked with a checkmark icon. It sits with the rest of the sidebar buttons near the top right.

Type or paste one code into the text box exactly as written, including capital letters, then press Redeem. Rewards land instantly, so watch your ticket counter tick up as confirmation that it worked.

Repeat for the remaining two codes. A code that returns nothing has either been claimed already on that account or was mistyped, and each one can only be used once per account.

Everything Update 12 adds

Tokyo Ward is the headline, but the patch stretches across progression systems too. Here is the full shape of it.

You reach Tokyo Ward the same way as every other zone, through the world teleporter. Once you are in, the local pet gacha, the crafting bench and the raid entrance are all clustered in the new hub, so you can run the whole loop without leaving the map.

Owl Suppression raid: waves, bosses and RC Cells

Owl Suppression is the reason to care about Tokyo Ward long term. It runs for 100 waves, with a boss spawning every fifth wave, so the difficulty steps up in predictable blocks rather than ramping smoothly. Check the entry requirements panel before you queue, since it lists both the gate to get in and the payout you are farming for.

The currency you want out of it is RC Cells. They are the only feed for the Kagune upgrade system, which means raid clears convert directly into permanent stat multipliers rather than one-off loot.

Kagune gacha and how upgrades work

Kagunes are their own summon pool, separate from pets. Once you pull one, you spend RC Cells to level it, and each upgrade raises whichever stat that Kagune carries. The boostable stats are Power, Damage, Yen, XP, Drop, Luck and Crit.

The gains per level are small and incremental. Scarlet Wing, a Legendary Kagune, starts at x2 Power and moves to x2.12 Power after an upgrade. That is the pace to expect, so treat RC Cells as a long grind rather than a quick power spike, and commit them to a Kagune whose stat actually matches what you are farming.

The second new pool, CCG Extermination, sits next to it and lists its drop rates on the summon screen. Read those rates before you dump tickets, especially if you redeemed codes for a fresh 600.

Ghoul Progression and crafting in Tokyo Ward

Tokyo Ward runs its own progression track, Ghoul Progression, fed by materials you pick up killing enemies on the map. The crafting menu spends those materials on new units, and it spells out exactly what each recipe needs before you commit. Kaneki, for example, requires Ghoul Shards, with the Craft button greying in only once you hold enough.

Your accessories are worth a pass at the same time. The Accessory tab in the inventory holds separate Head, Torso, Back, Shoulder and Waist slots, and relics carried over from earlier worlds can still be upgraded there while you build up Tokyo Ward materials.

New pets and how to slot them

Ten pets came with the update, pulled from the Tokyo Ward gacha. Nishiki Nishio is among the names in the new pool, and duplicates stack in the inventory the same way as every previous world’s pets.

Do not hand-pick your loadout. The Pets menu has Search Pet, Filters, Equip Best and Unequip All controls, and Equip Best does the sorting for you every time your roster changes after a summon session.

Shop prices for the Update 12 purchases

The 2x EXP gamepass and Waifu Bundle 5 are both buyable with F2P Tickets, so redeemed code rewards feed straight into them. The Premium Battlepass is the one that also asks for P2W Tickets.

Waifu Bundle 5 contains Mitsuri, a Limited pet with a base x28M power multiplier that reaches x32.2M once upgraded. With the cap now at level 275, the extra experience rate from the 2x gamepass has meaningfully more room to run than it did before the patch.

Friend Leaderboard tab

The leaderboard picked up a Friend Leaderboard tab, which filters the rankings down to your Roblox friends list instead of the whole server population. It is a small addition, but it turns the leaderboard into something readable for players who were never going to appear on the global board.

If you are coming back after a break, redeem the three Update 12 codes first, spend the Tower Resets while they are fresh, and use the tickets on the Kagune pool before touching anything else. Everything else in Tokyo Ward, from Ghoul Progression to the Owl Suppression grind, builds on top of that first summon session.
