Duplication tricks circulate constantly around Steal An Egg, and most of them do far less than the clips suggest. Some are already patched. One works, but not in the way people describe it. And the single most repeated method produces an egg you can look at and nothing else.
Quick answer: The Wi-Fi disconnect egg dupe only creates a visual copy — the egg appears in both the incubator and your base pen, but it never hatches into a usable pet and generates no income. The only trick with a measurable effect is leaving the server while the night-time 30x hatch multiplier is active, which cuts real time off an egg’s hatch timer.
Which Steal An Egg dupe methods work right now
| Method | Result |
|---|---|
| Dog paw menu spam (quadruple pets) | Patched. Spam-clicking the paw no longer multiplies anything. |
| Wi-Fi disconnect between incubator and garden | Visual only. The egg shows in two places but produces no pet and no cash. |
| Leaving the server during the 30x night multiplier | Works. Hatch timers keep draining while you are out of the game. |
| Standing on a trap before nightfall to avoid the safe zone | Fails. You are teleported to the safe zone regardless. |
| Trap plus Wi-Fi disconnect at nightfall | Fails. Same teleport on reconnect. |

Add to Google Preferences →Wi-Fi disconnect egg dupe: Visual copy only
This is the method most videos lead with. You cut your internet connection while interacting with the incubator, carry the egg back to your plot, place it, then reconnect. On paper the server and your client disagree about where the egg is, so it renders in both spots.

That is where it ends. The extra egg is a client-side render. It does not hatch into a pet you can equip, sell, or earn from, which is why publicly shared automation scripts for the game label this behaviour as a visual dupe rather than a real one.
Note: The most common failure is Roblox Error Code 277, a connection drop that kicks you out before you finish placing the egg. Reconnect too late and you lose the attempt entirely. Staying offline past the end of the night cycle has the same effect.
Skip egg hatch time with the 30x night multiplier
This one has a real, measurable payoff, and it is not a duplication at all. At night, eggs hatch at a 30x speed multiplier. That multiplier keeps applying while your character is out of the server, so a few minutes on the Roblox menu removes a much larger chunk from the timer.

Repeating this across a full night is how people bring high-weight eggs, such as a 200,000kg Eternal Lunar Dragon Egg fused with a Bloom mutation at the Sakura Incubator, down from multi-hour timers. The resulting pet is genuine and pays out normally.
Patched and failed methods: Dog paw spam and the night trap
The dog paw trick did work once. Spam-clicking a dog’s paw to open and close the menu quickly caused pets to display four times over. It has since been patched, and repeating the input now produces nothing.
The night trap rumour also does not hold up. The claim is that standing on a trap while holding a stolen egg just before nightfall blocks the automatic teleport to the safe zone. Because players cannot trigger their own traps, testing it requires a second account to place one — and the player is still teleported when night begins. Adding a Wi-Fi disconnect at the moment of nightfall changes nothing; you reconnect in the safe zone either way.
Why trading and gifting are disabled in Steal An Egg
There is no trading system, and duplication is the reason. Any player-to-player transfer would let duplicated pets spread across servers, and a game built on stealing and income rates cannot absorb that. Keeping trading and gifting switched off contains the damage to whichever account performed the exploit.
The practical consequence for normal players is that everything on your base has to come from hatching, stealing, or fusing. There is no legitimate route to receive a pet from someone else.

Duped accounts sold on third-party marketplaces
Listings on marketplaces such as itemku offer pre-loaded Steal An Egg accounts stacked with billions of duplicated pets, Oni Tigers and Golden Oni Tigers among the common ones. These are sold as ready-made bases rather than as glitches you perform yourself.
Buying or selling Roblox accounts is against Roblox’s Terms of Use, and any purchased account carries the exploit history of whoever built it. That risk sits with the buyer.
Fuse Machine: The in-game use for duplicate pets
If you genuinely end up with copies of the same pet, the Fuse Machine is the sanctioned way to convert them. Bring three copies of one pet from your base, load them into the machine’s slots, and hit Fuse. All three are consumed and replaced by a single pet with an income rate equal to or higher than theirs, with a chance of rolling a mutation that pays several times more.
Fusing is not always correct. If your duplicates are the strongest pets on your base, three separate income streams beat one merged pet. Keep fusing for low-tier stock, and keep mutated pets out of the machine — a mutated input does not guarantee a mutated result.
Strip the noise away and very little of the duping talk survives contact with the live game. The paw exploit is gone, the trap rumour never worked, and the Wi-Fi dupe leaves you with a decorative egg. Time spent chasing it is better aimed at the night multiplier, which reliably shortens hatch timers without producing anything the game will later delete.
