Fisch Lullaby Rod Buff: How the 8-Hour Melody Persistence Works

Melody buffs now survive rejoins and server hops for up to eight hours, and you can pass them to players who lack the rod.

Melody buffs now survive rejoins and server hops for up to eight hours, and you can pass them to players who lack the rod.

The Lullaby rod in Fisch now keeps its melody buffs active after you leave and rejoin a game or switch servers. Instead of losing those effects the moment you disconnect, they stay in place for a fixed window. This changes how the rod is used for grinding sessions and how buffs can be shared across a lobby.

Quick answer: Melody buffs from the Lullaby rod persist through rejoins and server hops, with a hard cap of eight hours. You must be level 500 to equip the rod, and you can share active buffs with nearby players who do not own it.

What the Lullaby buff change does

Before this update, any melody buff you built up disappeared when you rejoined or moved to a different server. Now those buffs carry over. The exact wording of the change reads: “Lullaby buffs are no longer lost when rejoining, but have a hard-capped duration of 8 hours.”

The eight-hour cap is the maximum lifespan for a stacked buff. Once you apply a melody effect, it counts down from that ceiling and stays active across sessions until the timer runs out.

Requirements to use the Lullaby rod

The rod has two separate level gates. One controls whether you can equip it at all, and the other controls its Mastery track.

The rod was obtained through Hawaii quests and Fischmas letters. Hawaii has since been removed, so the rod is currently unobtainable. It may return through a future Fischmas event via the Fischmas letter, but no official return date is confirmed.

Melody buffs you can stack

The Lullaby rod applies several melody buffs that can stack together. These effects are what now persist through rejoining and server hopping.

  • Prismatic Sinfonia
  • Serene Hymn
  • Strengthening Melody
  • Fortuitous Harmony
  • Quickening Symphony
  • Resistant Composition

How to confirm the buff survives a rejoin

Equip the Lullaby rod and catch fish to build up a melody buff such as Prismatic Sinfonia. Watch the buff indicator to confirm it is active before you do anything else.
Leave the game entirely, then rejoin. The Prismatic buff should still be listed as active when you return.

If the buff is gone after rejoining, the most common reason is that the eight-hour cap has already run out. Buffs older than that window expire and will not carry over.

Sharing buffs with other players

Melody buffs can be passed to nearby players, including those who do not own the Lullaby rod. Once shared, those buffs behave the same way for the receiving player. They stay active when that player rejoins or hops to a different server.

To verify the shared buff persists across servers, have the receiving player join a public server on a separate account. The shared melody effect should remain active there.

What Mastery adds at level 1000

Completing the Lullaby rod Mastery requires level 1000. The Mastery rewards include the Serene Hymn mode, doubled buff durations, and increased progress speed on metronome hits.

The Mastery track lists several named milestones, including Forever In Harmony, The Climb, The Collection, and True Ascension.

With buffs that now survive rejoins and server hops, the Lullaby rod holds its value across long play sessions, and the ability to share effects means a full lobby can benefit from a single rod owner. The eight-hour ceiling is the one limit to keep in mind, since anything older than that will drop off.
