+1 Speed Keyboard Escape: Galaxy 2 Speed Boost Bug and Compensation

Robux speed boosts bought in Galaxy 1 stopped carrying into Galaxy 2, and SecretVerse Studio says refunds are not possible.

Robux speed boosts bought in Galaxy 1 stopped carrying into Galaxy 2, and SecretVerse Studio says refunds are not possible.

The Galaxy 2 rollout in +1 Speed Keyboard Escape came with a costly side effect. Speed boosts that players had already paid Robux for in Galaxy 1 stopped applying once they moved into the new area, leaving accounts with a fraction of the multiplier they had bought. Plenty of players assumed the purchase simply had not registered and bought the whole ladder again.

Quick answer: Robux speed boosts from Galaxy 1 are not carrying into Galaxy 2 because of a bug. SecretVerse Studio cannot issue Robux refunds and has committed to granting an equivalent in-game multiplier instead, so rebuying the boosts now costs full price with nothing coming back.

What the Galaxy 2 carryover bug does

Speed boosts are one of the paid multiplier lines in the game, sitting alongside rebirths, trails and auras, ascends, and items. They were designed to be account-wide, meaning a boost bought in Galaxy 1 should still be active after progressing into Galaxy 2. That link broke. Players who crossed over found their Speed Boost multiplier missing from the stack, and the game treated the boosts as unpurchased.

Because the boost tiers scale in both price and multiplier as you climb them, the loss compounds. Someone who had worked up to a large Speed Boost multiplier in Galaxy 1 effectively dropped back to the bottom of that ladder in Galaxy 2 while every other multiplier line stayed intact.

How much Robux rebuying the boosts costs

Taking the speed boost line back to maximum runs somewhere between 2,000 and 3,000 Robux, depending on how far up the tiers you push. That is the amount affected players spent a second time to restore what they already owned. The Custom Speed option is a separate 300 Robux purchase that lets you set a value up to a maximum of 300.

Note: buying the boosts again while the fix is still pending does not qualify you for anything extra. The planned compensation is tied to what you originally purchased, not to how many times you paid for it.

Why Robux refunds are not available

Developers on Roblox cannot reverse a Robux transaction from inside their own experience. That restriction sits at the platform level, not with the studio, which is why the response here is in-game compensation rather than money back. Chichine (DeVFR), who handles the game’s Discord updates, put it plainly on August 30, 2026.

Can’t do refund, roblox doesn’t allow that, but we will give something that is the same multiplier that you bought

An earlier message the same day confirmed the cause was understood and that the delay was about delivering compensation cleanly rather than diagnosing the bug: “STILL WORKING ON THE SPEED BOOSTS FIX. I KNOW HOW TO FIX BUT IM TRYING TO FIND THE BEST WAY TO COMPENSATE!!!”

What affected players are getting instead

The commitment is a multiplier grant of equal value to what was bought. In practice that means the missing Speed Boost multiplier is meant to be restored to the account rather than the Robux being returned. No claim form, ticket, or code has been announced for this, and the developer has said the compensation is being applied as part of the fix.

Updates on the fix are posted in the studio’s official SecretVerse Discord server, which is the same server that hosts the one-time social code channel. Anything promising a Robux refund outside that server is not coming from the developers.

How to check whether your Speed Boost multiplier is back

Every multiplier source is listed as its own line on the speed readout, so the fix is easy to confirm without guesswork. Note the value on the Speed Boost line before you log out, then compare it after an update. If the boost has been restored, that specific line changes; the other lines are unaffected by this bug and should stay the same.

The scheduled G1 and G2 update

The game’s event calendar lists an “ADMIN ABUSE + UPDATE” covering both G1 and G2 for Saturday, September 5. Admin Abuse is the game’s recurring Saturday session, where the team switches on server-wide boosts such as doubled wins, stronger treadmills, faster speed training, and occasional boss stages. The developers have not tied the speed boost fix to that specific date, so treat it as a scheduled update window rather than a confirmed delivery time for compensation.

Until the patch lands, the cheapest move is to leave the paid boost tiers alone in Galaxy 2 and keep building the multiplier lines that were never affected — rebirths in particular, since those scale hardest over time. The boosts you already paid for are logged against your account, and the studio has said what it intends to do about them.
