Forza Horizon 6: Tokyo City Region Treasure Hunt Chest Location

The Tokyo City Region Treasure Hunt was the Spring entry in the Series 1 Festival Playlist for Forza Horizon 6, and it gave players nothing but a photo. The image framed a slice of an industrial shipping yard with no signage, no skyline, and no obvious landmark, which sent a lot of drivers circling container lanes at ground level looking for a chest that was never down there.

Quick answer: Drive to the dockland district on the eastern side of Tokyo City, near the container cranes and the Pier Pressure event, then take the ramp up onto the raised warehouse platform and smash the chest for 100,000 CR.

Tokyo City Treasure Hunt reward and playlist status

The challenge appeared under the Treasure Hunt entry in the Festival Playlist with the clue text “Follow the Photo Clue to Discover the Treasure!” Smashing the chest paid out immediately, with no race, drift zone, or car restriction attached to it.

Note: this hunt belonged to the Spring season of Series 1, and that playlist rotated on June 18, 2026. The chest no longer counts toward playlist progress, and no return date has been confirmed. Series 1 carried three Treasure Hunts in total, with Summer placed on the western path at Kinkaku-Ji Temple, Autumn next to the top middle hole of the Minamino Golf Course, and Winter carrying none at all.

Where the chest sits in Tokyo City

Use the docks on the eastern edge of Tokyo City as your anchor. The correct pocket of the map is the container port with the tall cranes and the row of warehouses behind them. The chest is not on the road, not on the beach, and not tucked between the shipping containers on the ground.

Look at the northernmost warehouse in that row. An exterior ramp and raised track run along the outside of the building, and the chest sits up on that elevated section. That single detail is what the photo clue never shows, which is why so much searching happened at street level.

How to reach the warehouse platform

Open the Festival Playlist and select the Treasure Hunt entry to bring up the photo clue. Keep it open long enough to register the cranes and container stacks in the frame, since that is the only visual confirmation you get.

Open the World Map and zoom into Tokyo City. Set a fast travel point as close to the docks as you can get, then jump there instead of driving across the region.

Pick a car with clean acceleration and predictable handling. There is no class requirement, but a loose or slippery build makes it easy to slide off the elevated track once you are up there.

Work your way through the narrow streets toward the water. Tokyo City’s blocks are tight and the traffic is dense, so take the turns slowly rather than committing to top speed in the approach.

Find the ramp attached to the warehouse and carry enough speed to climb it in one go. Stall halfway up and you will roll back down into the container lanes.

Stay on the raised route along the outside of the building and follow it to the chest platform, making the jump across if the section breaks. Then drive straight through the chest to smash it.

How to confirm the chest registered

The moment the chest breaks, the screen shows “TREASURE CHEST FOUND!” followed by “YOU FOUND CR 100,000!” and the credits land in your balance straight away. While the playlist was live, the Treasure Hunt entry also flipped to complete and the three points were added to your seasonal total.

Why the chest is often missed

Two things account for nearly every failed attempt. The first is searching at ground level, because the photo clue frames the container yard and gives no hint that the reward is above it. The second is losing speed on the ramp or drifting off the narrow elevated track before reaching the platform.

If you overshoot, do not restart from the map. Spin the car around on the platform and line the run up again, since the elevated route is short enough to retry in seconds.

Tokyo City hides a lot more than one chest. The region holds 44 collectibles and 13 points of interest across its downtown, suburban, and dockland districts, plus the 1991 Nissan Figaro Treasure Car, so a trip out to the port is rarely wasted even after the seasonal payout has rotated away.
