Hit a Golf Ball is a distance game with one button that matters. You walk into the shoot zone, hold to charge a power meter, release, and then watch a ball ricochet down a long runway full of ramps, speed pads, cannons, and rocket boosters until it runs out of momentum. Coins come from distance. Distance comes from power. Power comes from clubs, balls, and rebirths. The free experience is published on Roblox by Tiny Loop.
Quick answer: A new world unlocks only when a single shot travels the full length of the current runway and enters the portal at the far end. Clubs, balls, and rebirths exist to make that one shot possible.
How a shot works in Hit a Golf Ball
The game prompts you with Go to the shoot zone! until you stand on the tee, then switches to Hold to shoot!. Holding fills the power meter, and releasing sends the ball down the runway. From that point you have no aim control — the run is decided by what the ball hits along the way.
Boosters are the difference between a 300-meter dud and a five-figure record. Cannons fire the ball forward in a straight line, rocket boosters at the end of a runway throw it into the sky, and the Moon world uses UFO pads for the same job. Coins and money pickups sit along the lane, including multiplier markers that pay out extra as the ball rolls through them.

Once the ball is rolling, a STOP button appears on screen. It ends the shot early, which only makes sense when the ball is drifting sideways or has clearly stalled. Let it run if it still has speed — plenty of shots pick up a late cannon and double their distance. A NEW RECORD! banner confirms you beat your previous best, and LEVEL UP! fires as distance converts into levels.

Add to Google Preferences →World unlock order: Earth to Ocean
Worlds are not bought. Each one has a portal at the very end of its runway, and clearing the full distance in one shot sends the ball through it and opens the next area. You then switch between unlocked areas using the World Select globe in the lobby.
| World | Runway theme | How it opens |
|---|---|---|
| Earth | Green fairway, suburban street section | Starting world |
| Moon | Grey, space-themed lane with UFO boosters | Rocket booster into the space portal at the end of Earth |
| Rainbow | Multicolored runway | UFO booster into a rocket, then the portal at the end of Moon |
| Candy | Pink sweets-themed lane | Rocket booster into the portal at the end of Rainbow |
| Mecha | Metallic lane ending in a boss | Rocket booster into a toy airplane, then the Candy portal |
| Ocean | Listed in the Worlds menu after Mecha | Clear the Mecha runway |
Note: reaching a portal usually takes a chain of boosters rather than raw power alone. In practice the unlocking shot is the one that lands on the final rocket, so it is worth taking repeated attempts at a similar power level instead of grinding upgrades after every miss.
Rebirth multipliers and when to use them
Rebirth is the biggest single jump in hitting power. It resets your level and hands back a permanent multiplier that applies to every shot afterwards. The first rebirth becomes available at Level 10, and the multipliers stack as you keep prestiging.
| Rebirth | Power multiplier |
|---|---|
| 1 | x2 |
| 2 | x4 |
| 3 | x6 |
| 4 | x8 |
| 5 | x16 |
Take the rebirth as soon as it lights up. Because the multiplier is permanent and the level reset is quick to rebuild at higher power, sitting on an unspent rebirth costs you distance on every shot in the meantime. The fifth rebirth in particular is a large step up, and it is around that point that Earth’s final portal becomes realistic.
Club Shop and Ball Shop prices
Two shops sit in the lobby. The Club Shop sells stronger clubs, which raise the power behind the swing. Prompts like Buy a better club! and Tap to buy! point you at whatever you can currently afford.

The Ball Shop works the same way for the object you are hitting. Heavier or bouncier balls carry further and interact differently with ramps and boosters, and each new ball is a visible swap on the tee.

| Item | Shop | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Stone | Club Shop | $2,500 |
| Iron | Club Shop | $10,000 |
| Dice | Ball Shop | $12,000 |
| Apple | Ball Shop | $20,000 |
| Fishbowl | Ball Shop | $32,000 |
Level requirements and the Ascend portal
Not everything is priced in cash. Several shop entries are locked behind level thresholds and show REQUIRED LEVEL 20 through REQUIRED LEVEL 60 until you get there, so money alone will not open them. Rebirth itself is gated at Level 10.
The Ascend portal in the lobby is the deepest gate in the game and displays Level 100 required. There is also a leaderboard nearby if you want to see where your record sits against other players on the server.
The Mecha world boss fight
Mecha ends differently from the earlier worlds. A giant blue robot stands at the end of the runway with a health bar of 3,400, and your ball damages it on contact. The ball bounces off the boss repeatedly, chipping the bar down with each hit rather than in one strike, so a shot that arrives with speed left over does far more work than one that barely reaches.
When the bar hits zero the boss is defeated and the shot continues, which is where the largest distances in the game show up — a clean kill run past the boss can register above 23,000 meters.
Why your ball stops short of the portal
Short runs are almost always caused by the same handful of things rather than bad luck.
- The ball hit a static obstacle early — a golf cart or a street prop will kill a shot within a few hundred meters.
- You released the power meter before it filled, so the ball never reached the first cannon.
- You pressed
STOPwhile the ball still had momentum. - You have an unclaimed rebirth sitting in the menu, so every shot is running at a lower multiplier than it could be.
- You skipped the ball upgrade and only bought clubs; both feed into total distance.
Distances swing wildly even at a fixed power level — the same setup can produce a 220-meter shot and a 5,000-meter one depending on which boosters connect. That variance is normal and it is the reason the unlock shot is worth simply re-attempting.
The efficient loop, then, is short and repetitive. Hit until you have enough money for the next club or ball, take every rebirth the moment it unlocks, and keep firing at the end-of-runway rocket until the portal takes you. Servers cap at 10 players, and there is no voice chat or camera support, so nothing about the grind depends on who else is online.
