The Dark Blade is one of the few weapons in Grand Piece Online that can carry an entire Battle Royale match on its own, because its damage scales directly with a stat you can max out in the first minute after you land. A single run on Version 12.12 with a level 525 account produced 13,642 damage to players, four eliminations, and seven chests opened before the player went down in 4th place. The build behind it is simple, and it is repeatable.
Quick answer: Loot the Dark Blade early, open the stat menu immediately and pour close to 1,000 points into Sword Mastery, then fight with Thousand Slices (V) as your damage opener. Once you eat a Devil Fruit later in the match, use an SP Reset Essence and redistribute to roughly 650 Defense, 300 Sword Mastery, 200 Stamina, and 100 Devil Fruit.
Dark Blade moveset and keybinds
The Dark Blade runs on five inputs, and Thousand Slices is the one that turns a trade into a kill. Nightfall Counter punishes players who lead with a big swing, and Block is your only reliable answer once two or three people converge on you in a shrinking zone.
| Key | Dark Blade | Suna-Suna |
|---|---|---|
| X | Lethal Straight Slash | Desert Spades |
| Z | Nightfall Rush | Desert Storm |
| C | Nightfall Counter | Desert Flight |
| V | Thousand Slices | Desert Outlaw |
| F / E | Block (F) | Desert Railgun (E) |

If you also pick up Rokushiki, it shares the same keys and overwrites your sword inputs while active. Sori sits on X, Rankyaku on Z, Tekkai on C, and Shigan on V.

Add to Google Preferences →Sword Mastery stat spread for early Dark Blade damage
Battle Royale hands everyone a fixed pool of stat points at the start, and nothing about your main save carries over. That makes the first allocation the single biggest decision in the match.
The HUD tells you when points are sitting idle. If the in-combat display is flashing the menu prompt at you, you are fighting with unspent stats, which is the most common way players lose winnable early duels.

Rebalancing stats after eating a Devil Fruit
A pure Sword Mastery build wins the first half of the match and then falls apart. Once you eat a fruit from a legendary chest, spend an SP Reset Essence and move to a spread that can survive the final circle.
| Stat | Early build | Post-fruit build |
|---|---|---|
| Sword Mastery | ~1,000 | 300 |
| Defense | Remainder | 650 |
| Stamina | Minimal | 200 |
| Devil Fruit | 0 | 100 |
With Suna-Suna, 100 points is enough to run Desert Railgun for area damage while the Dark Blade still does the heavy lifting up close. Hold back a few points for Geppo and Tekkai as well, since mobility and a hard cancel matter more than a marginal damage bump once the zone tightens.

Spirit Essence is the other pickup worth grabbing on sight. Accepting the prompt absorbs it and teaches Haki, which is a straight upgrade to any melee-focused run.

What Battle Royale strips when you queue
Matches run 20 to 26 players and start with a 60-second intermission aboard the Ark Maxim. Three maps appear for a percentage-based vote, and the rotation changes daily.
Everything from your main file is temporarily removed. Items, Devil Fruits, fighting styles, Haki, race perks, and clothing all go, and stats reset to fixed values. Battle Pass outfits are the only cosmetic exception. That is why looting order matters so much: the Dark Blade you find in a chest is genuinely the only sword you have.
Zone, healing, and third-party rules that decide sword fights
There is no passive healing. You recover through potions, campfires, or kills, and a kill returns 33 percent of your health. A zone kill only gives back 15 percent, so finishing someone yourself is always worth the extra risk. Stacking potions is inefficient, so carry what you need and no more.
The zone deals escalating damage as it shrinks, and the final zone disables potions entirely. Water zones punish Devil Fruit users, which is a real problem once you have eaten Suna. Ziplines, air drops, and vending machines are all fair game for repositioning and restocking on the way in.
Tip: Solo play rewards patience. Avoid opening fights early, let two players commit to each other, then arrive with Thousand Slices while both are low. Block on F buys you the window to disengage when a third player does the same thing to you.

Some maps also host the mini-bosses Jogo and Uraume. They drop curses that boost your M1 attacks, which pairs well with a Sword Mastery build, but a curse pins your location on everyone’s minimap. Lava Curse deals a percentage of maximum health and works best against tanky players, while Ice Curse applies vulnerability and raises incoming damage on the target. Die while carrying one and another player can pick it up.
How to check your damage and EXP after the match
The defeat or victory screen is the confirmation that your build worked. It lists placement, players eliminated, chests opened, and total damage to players, followed by the Battle Pass EXP breakdown.
| Action | Battle Pass EXP |
|---|---|
| 100 damage dealt | 1 |
| Chest opened | 1 |
| Zone kill | 8 |
| Grip | 20 |
| Edo Tensei revive | 25 |
| Stayed till end | 50 |
| MVP | 75 |
| Win | 100 |
The 13,642-damage run cashed out at 645 EXP in total: 150 base, a 430 weekend bonus, and 65 from Roblox Premium, with no legend bonus. A solo win rewards a Legendary Fruit Chest, and the top three placements also grant race rerolls, ten for first, six for second, and four for third.
Why a Dark Blade run stalls before first place
Four things end most high-damage sword runs. Fighting with unspent skill points is the first, and the HUD warns you about it. Staying in a full Sword Mastery spread into the final circle is the second, since 13,000 damage means nothing if you fold to two hits.
The third is the zone itself. Potions stop working in the final ring, so any plan that relies on drinking through damage collapses there. The fourth is getting third-partied while committed to a long combo, which is exactly what a shrinking red zone is built to produce.
If you want a shortcut to the loot half of this, the Mythical Madness variant fills every chest with Legendary and Mythical rolls and adds 20x potions, 20 Dark Roots, and Spirit Essence. You will still need the stat discipline, but the Dark Blade shows up a lot faster.
