Blox Fruits: How to Build the Snowman Secret in Frozen Village

The moving snow piles only appear at night or during snowfall, which is why the quest looks broken during clear daytime.

The moving snow piles only appear at night or during snowfall, which is why the quest looks broken during clear daytime.

The “Do you want to build a snowman” secret in Blox Fruits sits in the snow-covered First Sea island where the Yeti boss spawns, and it has a reputation for being bugged. It is not. The snow piles you need simply do not exist on the island unless the weather or the clock cooperates.

Quick answer: Stand in the Yeti boss area and wait until it is nighttime or snow is actively falling. Only then will moving snow piles spawn. Push three of them together to form the snowman and finish the secret.

The spawn condition for the moving snow piles

Two states allow the snow piles to appear, and you only need one of them. Nighttime works on its own. Active snowfall works on its own. During clear daytime, nothing spawns at all, which is the single reason most players assume the secret is broken and give up after circling the island for a few minutes.

Server conditionSnow piles spawn?
Nighttime (any weather)Yes
Snow actively falling (any time)Yes
Clear daytimeNo

Note: there is nothing to toggle, buy, or unlock here. If the condition is not met, the objects are absent from the world, so no amount of searching will produce them.

Where to search on the island

The Yeti boss spawn area is the anchor point. Once the night or snowfall condition is active, the piles appear scattered around that part of the village rather than in one fixed spot, so sweep the open ground instead of standing still and waiting for them to come to you.

The piles are not static scenery. They drift, which is the easiest way to tell them apart from the ordinary snow texture on the ground. If something on the island is moving on its own and it is not an enemy, that is your target.

Building the snowman

Travel to the snowy island in the First Sea and head toward the Yeti boss area. Check the sky before you do anything else. If it is bright and clear with no snowfall, the secret cannot be started yet.
Wait for night to fall or for snow to begin. Both cycle on their own, so you can farm the local enemies or the Yeti while you wait rather than standing idle. Server hopping is also an option if you would rather not sit through the cycle.

Search the area for the moving snow piles. Circle the boss spawn and the surrounding open ground, keeping an eye out for anything that shifts position on its own.
Guide the piles together. Roll or push each one toward the same spot so they combine, and repeat until you have brought three of them into one place.

Stack the final pile to complete the figure. The snowman assembling itself is the confirmation that the secret has been solved. Return to the quest-giving NPC on the island to close it out and collect what it owes you.

Why the quest appears bugged

Almost every report of the snowman secret being broken traces back to the same situation. The player lands during clear daytime, finds no snow piles anywhere on the island, and concludes the objects failed to load. They never spawned in the first place.

Two other things worth ruling out before you assume something is wrong. Make sure you are actually in the Yeti boss area rather than elsewhere on the island, and remember that a full snowman needs three separate piles, not one. Combining two and walking away leaves the secret unfinished.

This is one of three secrets tied to the island. The other two involve freeing the Ability Teacher from the ice inside the hidden cave and defeating the Awakened Yeti, and clearing all three earns the island its full set of stars.
