Starward Mode in Apocalyptic Shadow 4.5 asks for three fully built teams, not one. The rotation, Celestial Lupine, splits into three separate nodes with three separate bosses, and each one punishes a different roster gap. Node 1 wants wide AoE, Node 2 wants sustained damage into a part-heavy boss, and Node 3 wants Elation.
Quick answer: Take Land of Fertility into Node 1 with an AoE hypercarry, Literary Brilliance into Node 2 with a Mortenax Blade or DoT core, and Beaming Bliss into Node 3 with an Elation team led by Silver Wolf Lv.999.
Apocalyptic Shadow 4.5 boss stats and weaknesses
The rotation opened on August 31, 2026. Element coverage decides most of the fight here, because every node locks toughness behind a narrow weakness spread.
| Node | Boss | Weaknesses | Toughness | SPD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Unwaning Ageless Immortal | Fire, Physical, Quantum, Ice | 240 ×3 | 158 |
| 2 | Sanerot Hearteater (Hellcharred Shadow General) | Fire, Physical, Lightning, Quantum | 350 | 190 |
| 3 | Super Idol: Center of Attention | Physical, Quantum, Fire, Imaginary | 440 | 158 |
HP pools moved sharply this cycle, which is why teams that cleared the previous rotation on time can now run out of cycles. Each boss appears twice in a node, so the listed value is doubled.
| Boss | Current HP | Previous HP |
|---|---|---|
| Unwaning Ageless Immortal | 13,550,601 ×2 | — |
| Hellcharred Shadow General | 19,478,989 ×2 | 11,856,776 ×2 |
| Super Idol: Center of Attention | 30,004,902 ×2 | 14,518,501 ×2 |

Add to Google Preferences →The rotation-wide Weakness Break bonus
Every enemy carrying Steadfast Safeguard takes 50% less damage until it is broken. Breaking it also delays its action further and pushes its damage taken up by 100%, so the break is the whole fight, not a bonus.
On top of that, breaking a Steadfast Safeguard target clears control debuffs from your whole team and immediately fires your allies’ Ultimates. All enemies also take 25% more Skill damage and 15% more Elation damage for the rotation. Plan your ults around the break window rather than casting them the moment energy fills.
Node 1: Unwaning Ageless Immortal (twigs, Halo, and Right-Hand Man)
This is the deer mirage, and it is a pure AoE check. It keeps summoning twigs and additional enemies. Killing a normal summon chips a little true damage and toughness off the boss; killing an Elite summon strips a large chunk of both and forces an immediate new summon wave.

The twigs matter twice over. Clearing them stacks a damage bonus on your team and dispels the Halo effect, and Halo is the reason your hits feel weak. At Difficulty 4, any active Halo makes every non-broken enemy take less damage and deal more. Corruption level 2 is also in play here, and the summons can advance and heal.
In phase two the boss brings out two Elite enemies flagged as Right-Hand Man. Kill those first. They carry a damage reduction effect, and removing them dumps a huge amount of toughness off the boss.

Buff pick: Land of Fertility adds 30% Skill and Ultimate damage for the whole team and another 30% for the character in the first lineup slot, so put your carry there. Unstoppable Force is the Remembrance option, giving memosprites 20% DEF ignore. Beaming Bliss is the Elation option, raising Elation damage taken by 30% and adding 50% Weakness Break Efficiency if an Elation unit is on the team.
| Team | Buff |
|---|---|
| The Herta / Anaxa / Tribbie / Hyacine | Land of Fertility |
| Himeko • Nova / Sunday / Welt / Permansor Terrae | Land of Fertility |
| Himeko • Nova / Welt / Robin • Summeretto / Permansor Terrae | Land of Fertility |
| Castorice / Evernight / Cyrene / Hyacine | Unstoppable Force |
| Evanescia / Trailblazer (Lightning) / Yao Guang / Permansor Terrae | Beaming Bliss |
| Evanescia / Trailblazer (Lightning) / Asta / Permansor Terrae (F2P) | Beaming Bliss |
Note: bounce damage is unreliable when five targets are on screen. A team that hits everything at once clears the twigs faster than one that relies on random distribution.
Node 2: Sanerot Hearteater (break the parts, pick the right Lupine)
The Feixiao mirage is the toughness-inflation node. It comes with a 350 toughness bar, 190 SPD, and body parts that soak your damage. Weakness Break the parts and a large slice of the main toughness bar disappears with them, which is also what stops the Sweep the Heavens, Swallow the Earth attack from going off.

At the start of the fight the boss converts one of your characters into a Bloodstained Lupine. Choose a support. You need your carry free to deal damage and your sustain free to keep the team alive.
Buff pick: Literary Brilliance cuts enemy Wind RES and Lightning RES by 40%. Blighted to the Bone is the DoT option, regenerating 1 Energy each time an ally applies DoT and letting all DoT ignore 40% of enemy All-Type RES. Past Life: Shadowed Reverie gives 60% team-wide damage when three or more ally memosprites are on the field.
| Team | Buff |
|---|---|
| Acheron / Mortenax Blade / The Dahlia / Ruan Mei | Literary Brilliance |
| Saber / Gilgamesh / Summeretto / Huohuo | Literary Brilliance |
| Ashveil / Mortenax Blade / Summeretto / Huohuo | Literary Brilliance |
| Ashveil / Mortenax Blade / Robin / Huohuo (F2P) | Literary Brilliance |
| Hysilens / Kafka / Black Swan / Huohuo | Blighted to the Bone |
| Castorice / Hyacine / Tribbie / Mortenax Blade | Past Life: Shadowed Reverie |
One part goes invulnerable during the fight, so raw single-target pressure on the boss stalls. A DoT team sidesteps the problem entirely because damage keeps ticking through the phase transitions.
Node 3: Super Idol: Center of Attention (sub-field and Output Ports)
The Starward boss is the toughest of the three at 30,004,902 HP twice over, up from 14,518,501 last rotation. It runs two areas at once. When the game asks you to send a character into the sub-field, send your main DPS, because the enemies in there have to die quickly.
Everyone left in the prime-field should be hitting the Output Ports. Those hits buff your DPS in the sub-field and debuff the enemies it is fighting. Filling the Output Port stacks completely also deals real damage to the sub-field enemies, which is easy to miss if your team only ever reaches three or four stacks.

That is why AoE skills that cover all three targets outperform single-target rotations here, and why a summon that acts on its own turn helps top off the stacks. Beaming Bliss is the standard pick with an Elation lead. Armed Up is the alternative for Physical teams, adding 50% Physical damage and cutting enemy Physical RES by 20%, while Unto Apotheosis gives 6% CRIT DMG per Skill Point spent, stacking ten times.
| Team | Buff |

| Silver Wolf Lv.999 / Sparxie / Yao Guang / Huohuo | Beaming Bliss |
| Silver Wolf Lv.999 / Yao Guang / Robin • Summeretto / Huohuo | Beaming Bliss |
| Sparxie / Sparkle / Yao Guang / Huohuo | Beaming Bliss |
| Evanescia / Trailblazer (Lightning) / Yao Guang / Huohuo | Beaming Bliss |
| Evanescia / Trailblazer (Lightning) / Asta / Huohuo (F2P) | Beaming Bliss |
A reference E0S1 clear and what the scores looked like
A full Difficulty 4 Starward run at E0S1 across all three teams landed at 3372, 3704, and 3793. Node 1 used The Herta, Anaxa, Tribbie, and Hyacine under Land of Fertility. Node 2 ran Acheron, Mortenax Blade, The Dahlia, and Ruan Mei under Literary Brilliance. Node 3 ran Silver Wolf Lv.999, Yao Guang, Robin • Summeretto, and Huohuo under Beaming Bliss.

Gear seen across those three lineups included the light cones Into the Unreachable Veil, Along the Passing Shore, Dance! Dance! Dance!, Welcome to the Cosmic City, and Rise and Sing, alongside the relic sets Scholar Lost in Erudition, Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm, Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters, and Ever-Glorious Magical Girl, with Plunkorde’s Stage Zero as the planar set.
Other viable configurations exist at similar investment. A Himeko • Nova, Welt, Robin • Summeretto, and Permansor Terrae opener scored 3828 on Node 1, a Hysilens, Black Swan, Kafka, and Ruan Mei DoT team scored 3861 on Node 2, and the Silver Wolf Lv.999 Elation core scored 3730 on Node 3.
How to confirm a node cleared and why runs fail
Each node ends on a Challenge Ended screen showing your score and the remaining Action Value. Score tracks that leftover Action Value directly, so a faster kill is worth more than a safer one. All three nodes must be finished separately before the stage counts as complete.
The common failure points are narrow. On Node 1, leaving the twigs alive keeps Halo active and your damage reduced. On Node 2, ignoring the parts leaves the boss’s toughness bar untouched and lets its big attack land. On Node 3, only your sub-field character hitting things means the Output Port stacks never fill and the sub-field enemies survive far longer than your cycle budget allows.
The through line across all three nodes is the same. Elements are locked, toughness bars are inflated, and the 50% damage reduction on Steadfast Safeguard means nothing you do lands properly until the break goes through. Build the rotation around getting each break as early as possible, and the rest of the score falls into place.
