Weapons in Grand Blue sit under your M1 attack string and hand you two or more skills apiece, so the blade or claws you carry shape a fight as much as your Cursed Fruit does. Some are sold outright for Gold, some fall off named bosses at low rates, and a few only exist at the end of a treasure hunt or a crafting bench.
Quick answer: Buy the Cutlass in Anchor Town for 200 Gold, then farm Maple Village for the good stuff. Cat Claws drop from Grab at 5%, Captain’s Claws drop from the Black Noir Captain in the raid at 5%, and the Hypnotist Chakram drops from Hypnotist Mango at 1%.
Every Grand Blue weapon, drop rate, and level requirement
Every source below is confirmed in-game. Drop rates can be checked yourself in the Logbook, which tracks mobs, sidearms, and islands, so you can verify a percentage before you commit an hour to farming it.

Weapons level themselves as you kill things with them equipped, and each level unlocks a new skill. Skill upgrades come from quests tied to that specific armament, and each upgrade forces a choice between Cooldown Reduction, Damage, and Attack Speed.

Add to Google Preferences →Anchor Town: The Cutlass and your first blade
The Cutlass sits on a wooden table in the middle of the Anchor Town shop interior and costs 200 Gold. If you are broke early, skip the purchase entirely. Corrupt Marines and Sword Officers both roll a 10% chance to drop one, and you will be killing them anyway for the repeatable Marine base quests.
You will know a drop registered when the weapon appears in your Backpack. Equip it from there and the M1 string changes immediately, along with the skill icons on your bar.
Clown Town: Katana, Willow Blade, and Last Laugh
Sail to Clown Island and look for the building with the carnival facade and the checkered pattern. Both purchasable swords are inside, sitting next to each other. The Katana is 500 Gold and works as a straight upgrade over the Cutlass; the Willow Blade is 10,000 Gold and is a real investment at that stage of the game.

Last Laugh is the island’s real prize and it is not for sale. Bazaji roams the garden near the carnival stalls, and killing him gives a 5% shot at the sword. You cannot swing it until Level 60, so it is worth banking early if you find one before then.
Maple Village: Battle Axe, Slingshot, Cat Claws, and the Chakram
Maple Village holds the densest concentration of good loot in the game. The Black Noir Pirates in dark clothing carrying oversized axes drop the Battle Axe at 10%, which comes with Cleaving Strike and Axe Spin. These same enemies are wave-farm targets for levelling, so the axe tends to arrive on its own.
Captain Esopo stands near the shore and drops the Slingshot at 10%, giving you a ranged option. He is also the NPC who hands out the Marksman Fighting Style, so you will be visiting him regardless.
For Cat Claws, head into the Mansion Garden area, turn right, and follow the pathway until you find the Grab boss. The claws drop at 5% and need Level 90 to equip. Grinding Grab is the standard route to the claw playstyle before the raid version becomes viable.

The rarest weapon in the game is also here. Hypnotist Mango drops the Hypnotist Chakram at 1%, an offhand armament with Sleep Hypnosis, Berserk Hypnosis, and Chakram Spin for bleed damage. Expect a long grind. Note: because it is an offhand, the Chakram stacks with a main weapon rather than replacing it.
How to start the Black Noir raid for Captain’s Claws
Captain’s Claws is the upgraded version of Cat Claws and the only way in is through a raid you have to unlock with food. You need Level 100 to actually use the weapon once it drops.

If the raid option never shows up on Esopo, the pantry submission is incomplete. Check the counter at the Village Pantry before assuming the dialogue is bugged.
Treasure Map weapons: Sturdy Stick, Broken Ritual Dagger, and Gilded Sabre
Three weapons only come out of treasure hunts, which start when you use a Treasure Map from your inventory. The map tier decides what you can find. Easy Treasure Maps produce the Sturdy Stick and the Broken Ritual Dagger, while Hard Treasure Maps are the only route to the Gilded Sabre.
The Broken Ritual Dagger matters more than its name suggests. It is the base component for the Ritual Dagger, one of the strongest weapons in the game, so do not discard it if a hunt gives you one.

Crafting Black Briar and the Ritual Dagger with Obsidian
Obsidian is a rare material that drops from bosses and raid chests, and it gates both craftable weapons. Black Briar is a mythic knife built at the Anchor Town blacksmith using 2 Obsidian plus a Handle, and the Handle itself is crafted from 1 Stick and 1 Cloth. You need Level 110 to wield the finished blade.
The Ritual Dagger is the heavier ask. It takes 5 Obsidian and a Broken Ritual Dagger, and pays off with high damage and a fast swing rate. Because both recipes compete for the same material, decide which one you want before spending any Obsidian.
Tip: the Logbook doubles as your recipe reference. Open it after clearing a boss to see what unlocked.
All working Grand Blue codes
Codes are redeemed through Settings, then the Codes tab. They pay out Trait Rerolls and Fruit Chests rather than weapons, so treat them as a way to fund your build, not a shortcut to a sword. Enter each one exactly as written, including punctuation and capitalization.
Release!TwitterGoalReachedHappySundaySorryForBreakingGame10KCCUWorldBossBrokeNewYouNewCrewFruitBasketCelestialBlessingGrandBluePocketOfStars
A successful redemption shows a confirmation and the reward lands immediately, with Fruit Chests going to your inventory and rerolls appearing on the Customize Character screen. If a code is rejected, the usual cause is a typo in the exclamation mark on Release! or a code that has already been claimed on that account.
The practical order for most players is Cutlass first, Katana as soon as you clear Clown Town, then straight into Maple Village to grind Black Noir Pirates for the Battle Axe while you climb toward the level gates on Cat Claws and Captain’s Claws. Obsidian is the bottleneck on everything above that, and it only comes from bosses, so raids are worth repeating even after the claws drop. More weapons are planned, and the Logbook is where new drop rates will show up first.
