Steal a Brainrot: How DLC Code Redemptions Work During Admin Abuse

The physical Steal a Brainrot toys each ship with a scratch-off card, and the code on that card is worth more if you hold it. Redeem it during an Admin Abuse window while a mutation event is running, and the pet it grants can come out carrying that mutation instead of the plain base version.

Quick answer: Scratch the card, wait until Sammy has a mutation event active during Admin Abuse, then enter the code in the in-game code menu. The pet you receive has a chance to inherit the live mutation. The code itself never guarantees a 1 of 1.

What the Steal a Brainrot toy boxes contain

Two box types are in circulation, and both carry exactly one code card regardless of how much plastic is inside. The larger shark case is the better value on toy count, not on codes.

Each card carries its own code under the scratch panel along with a serial printed on the front, and the redemption address on the card points to playsab.com/dlc. Codes are entered in lowercase or uppercase without any difference in result.

Admin Abuse happens twice a week. Taco Tuesday starts at 6:00 PM ET, and the Saturday update event starts at 3:00 PM ET. Both usually run 30 to 45 minutes, and both apply to public and private servers at the same time.

The events are triggered live by SpyderSammy rather than by an automated timer, so start times occasionally slip and individual sessions can be cancelled. Load into Steal a Brainrot 15 to 30 minutes early so you are already in a server when the first mutation goes up.

During the window, Sammy cycles through mutation events one after another and often puts the choice to the server. Cursed, Galaxy, and Yin Yang have all been run in a single session, which means a player holding two cards can redeem them under two different mutations.

How to redeem a DLC code during a mutation event

Scratch the silver panel off the card before the event starts. Have the code typed out or written down so you are not scratching and squinting while a mutation timer is ticking.

Wait for a mutation event to go live. Redeeming between events works, but the pet arrives in its plain form with no mutation attached.

Open the code menu and enter the code in the Code Here field, then press Submit. The same field accepts both printed toy codes and the free chat codes Sammy drops during the session.

Check what the code delivered. Some cards grant a pet, which spawns for you directly, while others unlock a base skin that goes straight into your cosmetics rather than onto your base.

If the reward was a skin, open Settings and change the Base Skin field to the one you just unlocked. The change applies immediately to your base.

Codes are printed per card, so the two below have already been claimed and will not work again. They are useful as a reference for what each card type actually pays out.

Note: a base skin card cannot roll a mutation. Only cards that grant a pet interact with the active mutation event, so a skin redemption under Yin Yang or Cursed produces the same result as one redeemed on a quiet Wednesday.

How to confirm a pet is a 1 of 1

Mutated pets do not announce their rarity on your base. The Trade Plaza is where you verify it, because every pet listing shows a global exist count for that exact pet and mutation combination. A count of 1 Exist means nobody else in the game has one.

Chat codes and extra spawns in the same window

Toy codes are not the only thing worth typing during Admin Abuse. Sammy posts free chat codes in the same session, and they use the same code field. The active one, ilovespyders, spawns a Money Money Puggy. Codes have a claim limit, and redpuggy already reads as sold out.

Secret Lucky Blocks also appear during the window and can pay out a Spaghetti Tualetti, so open every one you can reach before it despawns.

If you end up with two Money Money Puggies, stand next to the Robux shop with both of them. The pair merges there and spawns Los Puggies.

Why a redemption comes out unmutated

A redemption that lands during a live mutation event still rolls a chance, not a guarantee, so a standard Tenini Ballini from a Galaxy window is a normal outcome rather than a bug. The two conditions that remove the chance entirely are redeeming while no mutation event is active, and redeeming a card that grants a base skin instead of a pet.

The practical takeaway is to save your cards. A code redeemed on a random weekday afternoon gives you the plain pet forever, while the same code held until Sammy fires up a Cursed or Divine window is the only route these toys have to a genuinely rare version.
