The Wolven Bracers are one of the few legendary pieces in The Blood of Dawnwalker built entirely around claw combat, and they sit in a cave most players sprint straight past. There is no boss to kill and no long questline to grind. You just need to know which patch of ferns hides the entrance.
Quick answer: Trigger the side quest “Of Wolves and Men,” follow the blood trail to the fern-covered cave south of Rock Falls, and open the yellow chest sitting beside the campfire at the back.
Wolven Bracers location: the hidden cave south of Rock Falls
The bracers are tied to “Of Wolves and Men,” a side quest that starts with a blood trail near the Woodcutters’ Camp shrine. Following that trail leads you toward a rocky cliff face south of Rock Falls, in the southern half of Vale Sangora. The cave mouth is not marked with anything obvious from a distance. It is screened by a wall of large ferns growing right up against the rock.
Open your map and zoom in on the area below Rock Falls before you set off. The quest objective area shows up as a highlighted zone, and tracking it keeps a marker on your compass while you follow the dirt path northwest toward the cliff.

What the chest contains
The chest is a one-stop pickup. Alongside the legendary bracers it holds the quest item that pushes “Of Wolves and Men” forward, plus a small amount of coin and two consumables.
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Wolven Bracers | 1 |
| Stitched-Up Clothing (quest item) | 1 |
| Denarius | 63 |
| Vitality Balm | 1 |
| Potent Regenerative Salve | 1 |

Wolven Bracers stats and the Claw Art skill
These are Legendary Medium Bracers with 140 Armour, and every bonus they roll points in the same direction. Claw damage, claw critical hits, and damage against animals. They also carry the Claw Art skill on a 15-second cooldown.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | Legendary Medium Bracers |
| Armour | 140 |
| Ability | Claw Art (15s cooldown) |
| Claw Damage | +10.8% |
| Damage against Animals | +11.0% |
| Claw Critical Hit Chance | +7.2% |
| Claw Critical Hit Damage | +10.8% |
Note: the bracers roll nothing for Weapon Damage, Maximum Vampiric Health, or Magical Damage Reduction. If your current bracers cover those, the comparison screen will show a drop in those three lines when you swap. They are a straight claw-build piece, not a general upgrade.
The 140 Armour figure is not a ceiling either. Legendary gear can be taken to blacksmiths and armourers for upgrades later, so picking these up early does not mean outgrowing them by the back half of the campaign.
How to confirm you got the Wolven Bracers
Opening the chest brings up the Loot screen with the Wolven Bracers listed and an Equip action attached. The item card reads “Legendary Medium Bracers” with 140 Armour and the Claw Art entry, so if you see those three details together, the pickup registered.
The second confirmation is the quest itself. Taking the Stitched-Up Clothing from the same chest advances “Of Wolves and Men,” and the objective moves off “Investigate the cave using Focus Mode.” If the objective is still sitting there, you have not opened the chest yet.
Why players miss this cave
Three things account for almost every missed pickup here.
- The entrance reads as solid rock from the path. The ferns fully cover it, and you have to run into them to find the gap.
- People abandon the blood trail and navigate by map alone, which drops them near the cliff but not at the opening.
- Entering the cave is not the same as looting it. The chest sits at the back beside the campfire and has to be opened manually.
For anyone chasing the Gear of the Gods trophy, this is one of the cheaper legendary pieces on the list. No boss fight, no branching choice, no vendor stock to wait on. Just a fern wall, a short cave, and a chest by a campfire.
