The Veil: How to Get the Vampiric Talisman in The Pale Beyond

The Legendary amulet drops from chests in The Pale Beyond and heals you for 10% of every hit you land.

The Vampiric Talisman is one of the more valuable amulets in The Veil, the horde-based labyrinth RPG from BlackstarDW Studios, mostly because it solves the game’s biggest problem: healing between fights. It is a Legendary-rarity accessory, and it is not a quest reward, a shop item, or a boss drop. It comes out of chests, in one specific region, and only if the roll goes your way.

Quick answer: Take the tunnel out of the starting temple hub into The Pale Beyond, then open every glowing chest in that forest with E. The Vampiric Talisman is a random Legendary drop from those chests, so keep looping the area until it appears in your inventory.

Vampiric Talisman stats and the Siphon Of Her passive

The talisman occupies your Amulet slot, sitting alongside Rags, Ring, Armor and Weapon in the equipment panel. Its passive is called Siphon Of Her, and it returns 10% of the damage you deal back to you as health. That includes damage from summons, which is what makes it a strong pick for summoner-leaning builds where most of your output is not coming from your own weapon swings.

Because the heal scales off damage rather than a flat number, the talisman gets better as your weapon and enchants improve. On a character sitting at roughly 294 health, a heavy hit chain can claw back a meaningful chunk of a health bar without touching your Quick Heal on E.

Route from the temple hub to The Pale Beyond

The Pale Beyond is a foggy forest region reached from the main temple area where the NPC vendors stand. If you can see floating labels for the Enchantress, Blacksmith, Merchant, Alchemist, Rune Smith, Stoker, Marius and the Bounties board, you are in the right starting spot.

Leave the temple hub and head for the tunnel exit. White arrow markers on the ground point along the main path, so follow them rather than trying to cut across the terrain.
Move through the tunnel and out the far side. The passage opens directly into the pale, mist-heavy forest rather than looping back into the maze proper.

Watch for the region banner. The Pale Beyond name card appears across the screen the moment you cross into the zone, which is your confirmation that you are in the correct farming area and not still in the connecting corridor.

Note: nothing about the route is gated behind a class, a race, or a story step. Anyone who can survive the walk can farm here, though the mobs along the way hit hard enough that turning up with a low-tier weapon will cost you more time than the trip saves.

Farming Pale chests for the drop

Chests in The Pale Beyond glow, which makes them readable even through the fog. Walking up to one brings up an Open prompt bound to E, and the contents pop straight into your loot window. There is no key, no lock, and no cost to open one.

The talisman is a random roll from that shared chest pool rather than a guaranteed reward from a single fixed container. That means volume is the only real strategy. Sweep the forest, open everything glowing, then reset and run the loop again. Most attempts will hand you common and rare filler before a Legendary shows up.

Time of day matters for survival more than for loot. The maze closes up and gets harder at night while sanity drains, so a daylight sweep gives you a cleaner run at the chests. If the Day Time banner has just fired, that is the window to push deepest before you need to head back.

How to confirm the lifesteal is active

Looting the talisman does not turn it on. Open your inventory, drop it into the Amulet slot, and check that the item card shows the Legendary tag with Siphon Of Her listed underneath. An unequipped talisman sitting in your bag does nothing.

Once it is equipped, the check is simple. Take a hit from a mob so you are below full health, then attack something. Your health bar should tick upward with each landed hit instead of staying flat. If you are running a summoner build, stand back and let a summon connect — the bar should still climb, since summon damage feeds the same passive.

If nothing heals, the usual causes are an empty Amulet slot, a missed hit that dealt no damage, or a full health bar with nothing to restore. There is no cooldown to wait out and no activation button to press.

The Veil is only days past its September 5, 2026 launch, and the developers have been shipping patches almost daily, including item restores for anything lost to the voiding bug. Drop rates and region layouts can shift with those updates, so if a farming loop that worked yesterday stops producing, check whether a new build has gone live on the official Roblox page before assuming bad luck.
