The Weezy Outfit is Fortnite’s Icon Series take on Lil Wayne, and it is unusually flexible for a celebrity skin. Instead of shipping as one fixed look with a couple of alternate colorways, it hands you four independent switches in the Edit Style menu, including one that adds a glowing lava effect to the character’s arms and legs.

Quick answer: The Weezy Outfit arrives in the Item Shop on September 12, 2026, and can also be earned for free by finishing inside your region’s placement cutoff in the Weezy Icon Cup on the same day.

Weezy skin edit styles: Hat, glasses, tank top, and reactivity

Open the Weezy Outfit in your Locker and select Edit Style. Four separate toggles appear, and each one can be set on or off independently, so the combinations stack rather than locking you into preset variants.

ToggleWhat it changes
HatAdds or removes the red beanie
GlassesAdds or removes the sunglasses
Tank TopSwitches between the white tank top and a shirtless look with visible tattoos
ReactivityTurns the glowing lava pattern on the arms and legs on or off

The default configuration turns everything on: red beanie, sunglasses, white tank top, black pants, and the red lava pattern running across the limbs. Switching all four off gives you a clean, shirtless version with no hat, no glasses, and no glow, which reads very differently at a distance.

How the reactive lava effect behaves in a match

Reactivity is the toggle worth testing first. With it on, the lava pattern flows and glows across the outfit’s arms and legs during normal play, which makes the character noticeably brighter in dark interiors and at close range.

That visibility cuts both ways. Moving through buildings, opening doors, and looting rooms keeps the glow on screen constantly, so players who prefer a lower profile in close-quarters fights will want reactivity switched off. The shirtless, non-reactive style is the quietest configuration in the set.

The Weezy Board doubles as the set’s skateboard-styled pickaxe, so the skateboarding theme carries through harvesting and traversal rather than sitting only on the back. The effect stays visible while gliding as well, including redeploys late in a match.

Every item in the Lil Wayne collection

The crossover is larger than the single Icon Series outfit. Two Lil Wayne skins anchor it, with the second built around a black-and-gold formal look, and the surrounding accessories lean heavily on Young Money branding and the “YM” insignia.

Three Jam Tracks land alongside the cosmetics for Fortnite Festival: “6 Foot 7 Foot” featuring Cory Gunz, “Lollipop” featuring Static Major, and “A Milli.” Jam Tracks work in Festival performances and in jam sessions across supported experiences, so the music side of the crossover is not limited to one mode.

Epic has not announced a Lil Wayne concert, themed island, or dedicated Festival season. The confirmed release consists of the cosmetics, the three songs, and the competitive cup.

How to get the Weezy skin free in the Weezy Icon Cup

The free route is a tournament, not a participation reward. The Weezy Icon Cup runs on September 12, 2026, with separate Solo sessions for Battle Royale and Zero Build, and both versions hand out the same prizes under identical rules.

Confirm your account is eligible before the session opens. Competitors must meet Fortnite’s minimum age requirement for their country and have multi-factor authentication enabled on the Epic account.
Open the Compete tab in Fortnite and find the Weezy Icon Cup card for your matchmaking region. Session start and end times differ by region, and the card in-game is the authoritative schedule.
Pick the Battle Royale or Zero Build version. The placement thresholds are the same in both, so choose whichever ruleset you play better rather than assuming one is an easier leaderboard.
Play your matches inside the window. Each session lasts roughly three hours and allows a maximum of 11 matches, and there is no Duos partner requirement.

Eight points is enough to earn the YM Emoticon in every supported region, which is by far the most achievable reward. The Weezy Outfit and Weezy Board Back Bling are reserved for players who finish inside their region’s cutoff.

RegionPlacement needed
EuropeTop 1,000
North America CentralTop 700
North America WestTop 200
BrazilTop 200
AsiaTop 100
Middle EastTop 100
OceaniaTop 100

Ties are broken by total Victory Royales first, then average eliminations, then average placement, and finally total time survived. That order rewards winning matches outright over farming eliminations across a long session.

Note: scoring is shown in-game and the leaderboard determines the outfit reward, so points alone do not guarantee anything beyond the eight-point Emoticon.

Buying the Weezy skin in the Item Shop

The collection enters the Item Shop on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Because of how the daily shop reset works, the listing can land on September 13 local time in some European and Asian time zones.

To buy it, open the Item Shop tab, look for the Weezy section, and select either the bundle or the individual items you want. Purchases are confirmed by holding the purchase button, after which the cosmetics appear in your Locker.

Epic has not published final V-Bucks prices for the individual items or the full bundle, and has not stated how long the collection stays in rotation. Any figure circulating before the shop refresh is an estimate, so treat the live listing as the only reliable price.

If you are weighing the two routes, the practical difference is simple. Buying gets you the whole set immediately, while the cup only awards the Outfit and the Weezy Board Back Bling, and only to players who clear their regional cutoff. Everyone else who reaches eight points still walks away with the YM Emoticon.
