Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort adds a fresh farming loop to Borderlands 4, spread across the tropical island of Providence. Between the main story, side missions, and new world events, 18 bosses hold dedicated drops, including two of the game’s rarest Pearlescent weapons. The two Pearlescent weapons: Astonisher and Quadratus
Pearlescents sit above Legendaries as the rarest tier in Borderlands 4, and Story Pack 2 introduces two of them. Both carry Ordonite Infusion, which gives the weapon a secondary override element that fires automatically when the target is weak to it, so the gun optimizes its own elemental damage without you switching loadouts.
Astonisher is a Pearlescent Ripper shotgun that drops from the DLC’s final boss, Lieutenant Harmony, in “The Rescue” at Tediore FOB Bravo Lima 4.2. Its Pure Energy trait consumes the entire magazine on fire and increases damage by +3.3% per unit of ammo spent, so a full mag turns into one heavy hit. Harmony also drops the Jakobs pistol Infection.
Quadratus is a Pearlescent Vladof heavy weapon with the Four of a Kind behavior. It drops from the Digi-Rift world event bosses Cosmicreep and Gutslinger, both of which also drop the Jakobs armor shield Exfoliatrix.
Pearlescents remain more elusive than Legendaries, so expect to run these encounters repeatedly before the drop appears.

World event and Digi-Rift bosses
Several drops sit behind Providence’s repeatable activities rather than fixed missions, so you need to trigger the right event before the boss appears.
Digi-Rift bosses (Cosmicreep, Gutslinger, Logistics Manager Reyes)
Digi-Rift encounters place you inside Tediore’s digiverse servers. Cosmicreep and Gutslinger both drop the Exfoliatrix shield and the Quadratus Pearlescent. Logistics Manager Reyes appears in the “Digi-Gauntlet: M3_Final_v5” run and drops the Decay pistol, but this Digi-Rift is reachable only through Vinechoked Canopy.
Volcanus (The Furious Earth)
Volcanus spawns during The Furious Earth world event, tied to the volcano spewing Ordonite-rich lava across the island. Defeating it can drop the Font of Life repkit.
Vulkorr (Substation Control)
Vulkorr is gated behind a setup step in Bagheera Range. You must flip all 5 Substation Switches before the Substation Control fight opens up, and the boss drops the Avarice assault rifle.
DLC-exclusive Class Mods
Beyond the weapons and gear listed above, every Story Pack 2 boss can also drop the six DLC-exclusive Class Mods, one for each Vault Hunter. Because they are shared across the entire boss pool rather than tied to a single encounter, they are not slotted against any one fight, and any boss run is a chance to pick one up alongside its dedicated loot.
