Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 rolls into Season 6: The Haunting this week, closing out the Season 5 Battle Pass and dropping a Halloween-themed wave of maps, modes, weapons, and events across Black Ops 7 and Warzone. The launch time is the same everywhere, so what changes is only the local clock you need to watch.

Quick answer: Season 6: The Haunting goes live on Thursday, September 17 at 9 AM PT (12 PM ET, 5 PM BST) simultaneously on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Season 6 start times by region

The update unlocks at a single global moment tied to 9 AM PT. Players in Asia-Pacific regions cross over into September 18 local time. Here is how that lands in major time zones.

Pre-download and how to confirm the update installed

Pre-downloads for Season 6 are already live, starting on Battle.net ahead of the other platforms. As with every seasonal drop, you have to finish installing the patch before you can launch either Black Ops 7 or Warzone.

You will know the update worked when the game boots into the Season 6: The Haunting front end and the new Battle Pass appears in place of the Season 5 track. If the client still shows Season 5 content after 9 AM PT, the patch has not finished applying yet.

What launches on day one

Most of the marquee content is available the moment the season goes live. A handful of returning modes and events arrive later in the season instead of at launch.

Multiplayer

Two new 6v6 medium maps drop at launch. Quantum is a brand-new map set in a frozen Arctic quantum computing facility, while Bloodstead is a horror retheme of Homestead. The new T.E.D.D. Trials mode brings Zombies locations Roadkill, Inferno, and Lost into 6v6 play, with Ray Guns in the mix and the first team to hit the score limit winning. Season 6 Ranked Play also begins at launch with a shortened run time and its own reward track.

Two fan-favorite limited-time modes return in-season rather than on day one: Hordepoint, a Hardpoint twist where controlling the objective turns roaming zombies against the enemy, and Freeze Tag, where teams freeze opponents and thaw teammates by breaking the ice.

Zombies

Rex Infernus Directed Mode arrives at launch with on-screen quest steps and a round cap, guiding players through the Main Quest against the Warden. A new Survival map, Tenshu, drops the crew into Kowakujō with round-milestone rewards, and the Rex Infernus Starting Room challenge adds its own GobbleGum unlocks. Rogue Run also expands with new pedestal rewards.

Players who have finished every Main Quest across all of Black Ops 7’s round-based Zombies maps can chase the Warden Operator skin through the Super Easter Egg rewards.

Warzone

The headline transformation is Haunted Hollow, a Halloween reskin of the Haven’s Hollow Resurgence map with a Ghost Train, a UFO low-gravity zone at the Mansion, Trick or Treat pumpkins that grant power-ups or debuffs, and a new Dark Ritual Easter egg quest. The Giant Infected limited-time mode replaces the usual annual Zombie Royale, sending fallen players onto the Zombies team to hunt the survivors. Resurgence Ranked Play returns during the launch window.

Endgame

Avalon Night arrives at launch as a darkened variant of Avalon with tougher threats after nightfall. The Forbidden Summoning Event tasks squads with unlocking seals to summon the Aether Worm, which yields new rewards when defeated.
