Apple Knight 3 rebuilds the mobile platformer around a single, connected map instead of the short, self-contained stages that defined the first two games. It keeps the fast hack-and-slash combat the series is known for, but now the regions, dungeons, and hidden routes all sit inside one continuous world you travel through on foot or by mount.

Quick answer: Apple Knight 3 is out now on iOS and Android for a one-time price of $2.99, with no ads and no in-app purchases.

One connected world instead of separate stages

The biggest change is structural. Rather than clearing a level and returning to a map screen, you move through regions that flow into one another. Dungeons branch off the main path, and hidden routes reward players who poke at the edges of each area.

Because the map is much larger than earlier entries, the game introduces mounts to help you cross it faster. That traversal system is new to the series and reflects how far apart the world’s landmarks now sit. The trade-off is a shift in feel: exploring and searching for a way forward replaces the tight, room-by-room pacing of the older games.

Combat, weapons, and customization

Combat is built around a sword and a set of special abilities you unlock as you progress. The action stays fast and fluid, and it works on both touchscreen and controller. Compatible PlayStation, Xbox, and MFi controllers are supported.

Progression and cosmetics carry over from the series. You can collect and switch between weapons, apply unique character skins to your knight, and find loyal pets that travel with you across the world.

Mounts and the wheat farm

Mounts are tied to a farming loop that runs out of the main hub. Early on, the character Garraldin explains that Vornithar has returned and sends you off to explore, grow wheat, and unlock rides in the Barn. You buy seeds from a hub merchant, then plant, water, and harvest wheat back at the farm to fund new mounts.

Individual mounts appear out in the world and cost wheat to unlock on the spot. Once claimed, they let you dash across gaps and cover ground the knight can’t clear alone.

Return to the Barn to review your mount stalls, and keep replanting wheat between runs so you always have enough to claim the next ride you find.

Game Center achievements

The game features Game Center support with achievements. Unlocking your first mount earns the Boar to Be Wild achievement, and opening five treasure chests grants Treasure Seeker. You’ll see an on-screen notification the moment each one triggers.

Price, platforms, and system requirements

Apple Knight 3 is a premium release from Limitless LLC, priced at a single $2.99 payment with no ads or in-app purchases. The iOS download is about 171.2 MB, the interface is in English, the age rating is 13+ for cartoon or fantasy violence and weapons, and the developer states the app collects no data. Up to six family members can share it through Family Sharing. You can grab it from the App Store listing or on Android.

PlatformRequirement
iPhoneiOS 18.0 or later
iPadiPadOS 18.0 or later
MacmacOS 15.0 or later, Apple M1 chip or later
Apple VisionvisionOS 2.0 or later

The most recent update, version 1.0.4, gives the farmer his own farm and adds a new mount alongside other improvements and bug fixes. For players who liked the compact, precise stages of the earlier games, the move to open exploration is a real change in rhythm, but the sword-and-mount core and the flat premium price keep Apple Knight 3 firmly in the same lineage.
