Worming from Home 100% Completion: Every Achievement Requirement

The full list of money thresholds, perk trees, timed windows, and Smartphone rewards standing between you and Transcendental Invertebrate.

The full list of money thresholds, perk trees, timed windows, and Smartphone rewards standing between you and Transcendental Invertebrate.

Worming from Home is a comedy job sim about a ragdoll worm with a finance career, and its 100% run is far less chaotic than the physics suggest. The release build tracks 32 achievements, and almost all of them come down to three things: money, maxed perk trees, and a handful of interactions that only happen inside specific windows. Everything else falls out of a normal career playthrough.

Quick answer: Unlock all 32 achievements and Transcendental Invertebrate pops automatically. The long poles are $100,000 banked, every Shop item including all 100 interns, and both perk trees fully unlocked.

What a 100% run actually costs in time

A straight career run — interview, five workdays, promotion, credits — moves quickly once the spreadsheet and Messages tasks stop being a fight with the controls. Player reports put a single run anywhere from four to eleven hours depending on side content, and a clean full-achievement clear lands around eight hours. The day structure gives you natural save points, so it splits comfortably across a few sessions.

The first achievement costs nothing. The login password is written on a sticky note next to the monitor, and head-bashing worm123 into the keyboard unlocks Welcome to Corporate Finance, which sits at a 100% unlock rate for obvious reasons. TOUCHDOWN! trips on its own once you have travelled 100 yards total, so ignore both and spend the tutorial learning how to fling yourself around. The game is a premium Steam release with no redemption code system, so every unlock has to be earned in-game.

The money gates: $100,000, the L-Desk, and all 100 interns

Cash is the real completion bottleneck. Salary and spreadsheet bonuses cover the early purchases, but the endgame targets are funded almost entirely by the stock market. Trading Technis Corp and BioLatica on news alerts — Steve’s voicemails telegraph recalls and regulatory hits before the graph moves — is how a run gets from four figures to seven. Buying every Shop item including all 100 interns realistically needs upwards of $700,000 in the bank.

Expensive TastePurchase every Shop itemAll 100 interns included

The L-Desk is the structural unlock, not just a cosmetic one — it expands the desk and opens intern hiring, which in turn automates paperwork income. Expensive Taste has a 0.8% unlock rate and is the single most expensive line item in the game, so treat the Shop as a checklist rather than an impulse buy. Functional hardware first: the Stabilized Mouse ($100) and Slim Keyboard ($250) make every spreadsheet faster, and the Printer ($1,200) is a prerequisite for several unrelated unlocks.

Buy the plot of land for $2,000 early. It only becomes visitable three days after purchase, and you have to travel there and talk to the character waiting for you before the achievement registers.

Both perk trees: Absolutely Massive and Book Worm

Two free-time activities feed two separate perk trees, and 100% requires emptying both. The Reading Nook chair runs a Snake-style minigame that levels Financial Insight, while the workout mat runs a Breakout-style minigame that levels Muscle Mass. Each tree has its own achievement — Book Worm for every Financial Insight perk, Absolutely Massive for every Muscle Mass perk — and both trees gate other unlocks.

Start with the cheapest versions of each. The basic Reading Nook is $10 and Worm Weights are $25, which means you can begin grinding both trees on Day 1 before your first real payday. The upgraded Comfy Reading Nook ($600) and the Worm Squat Machine come later and speed the grind considerably.

Perk order matters for quality of life. Agility I on the Muscle Mass side improves movement speed and jump height, which makes every desk traversal less painful, and High Jumper’s double jump near the top of the tree turns the shelf and plant climbs into non-events. On the Financial Insight side, High Yield Savings pays passive daily interest, and the Money Machine perk at the top is what lets the printer produce cash.

Maxing Muscle Mass is also what opens the Wormhole. Entering the purple portal and clearing the floating-platform course unlocks Whole Lotta Worm and reveals Torment Mode as a follow-up difficulty.

Achievements on a clock or a one-shot window

Most unlocks can be cleaned up after the credits. These cannot, or at least become much harder to arrange if you ignore them during the workweek.

  • Wow, You’re Desperate — reply to a message from M within one real-time minute. Pick the shortest response available.
  • Would You Still Love Me — chat with M until she gives you the florist number, call it, then wait three in-game days and answer yes when she asks about the flowers.
  • Water for the worms — drink three glasses of water in one day to earn the Beverage Hat, then drink again while wearing it.
  • Kafkaesque — print Steve’s contract, sign it with a pen, lay it face down under the printer lid and send the scan back. Unlock rate sits at 32.4%.
  • I Hope You’re Happy — dial 911 on the desk phone repeatedly until emergency services block the number. A 12.4% unlock rate, and strictly an in-game action.

The rest of the desk-based unlocks are pure sandbox work and safe to leave for post-game. Rolling the 20-sided die until it lands on a natural 20 gets you Stroke of Luck, breaking the radio on the floor gets I Work Better in Silence, throwing an intern into the trash gets Establish Dominance, and knocking every loose item off the desk and the top shelf gets Give Me Attention. Drawing on a sheet of paper and binning it covers That Was Embarrassing, and printing a $1,000 bill with the Money Machine perk covers Is This Even Legal? — the bill only appears on some presses, so keep hitting the button.

If you throw an intern away and need them back at their workstation, use Reset Objects from the pause menu.

Worm-fluencer: every Smartphone reward

Worm-fluencer requires redeeming every reward on the Smartphone’s WormTok app, and at a 1.9% unlock rate it is the achievement most likely to be sitting unfinished when everything else is done. The rewards are hats, skins, cursors and backgrounds, each tied to one specific interaction. Running the list top to bottom is faster than stumbling into them.

  • Balance milestones at $100 and $100,000
  • Drink three glasses of water in a day; drink coffee three times in a day
  • Water the plant you sleep in; spill water on the keyboard
  • Jump four feet horizontally in a single jump
  • Draw on the framed photo of a man with a marker
  • Message a colleague; compliment Steve; start a relationship with M
  • Sleep for 40 hours total; go through a wormhole; find the ladybug
  • Scan the frog on the printer; scan yourself and send the image to Steve
  • Roll a 20 or a 1 on the 20-sided die; change the radio channel
  • Give money to the grandmother who calls you
  • Pour water on an intern; throw an intern out of their workstation; remove an intern during a video call
  • Interrupt your boss’s video call with water; reach the maximum training multiplier

Two of these hide in the same place. The toy frog sits on the top shelf, which you reach with the mini trampoline or the double jump perk, and the ladybug is up in the leaves of the potted plant you sleep in. Greeting the ladybug also unlocks the Caterpillar skin and the separate A New Friend achievement, which you can trigger by riding the printer’s green button up toward the plant once the L-Desk and printer are both in place.

The promotion video call and its four achievements

The career finale is a video call with Steve, and it is the densest achievement cluster in the game. Preparation is a purchase list: the trampoline, the Webcam at $3,000 and the Soundboard at $5,000. You then use the trampoline to fetch three framed pictures of a human from the shelf and stand them in front of the camera so Steve sees an employee instead of a worm. Finishing that setup unlocks Locked In.

During the call itself, mapping the soundboard buttons to the right answers matters more than anything else — misaligned photos or wrong-order responses fail the interview outright, and a failed attempt can be retried. Getting promoted to Associate Financial Analyst unlocks Worm of Wall Street, and finishing cleanly with an A+ rating pays out a second achievement on the same call. Pointing the webcam at a working intern mid-call covers Surveillance State. Hanging up on Steve before the call finishes gets Ugh, Boooooooringgggg, so save that one for a throwaway attempt rather than your real interview.

Torment Mode after the 1.0.3 update

Clearing the Wormhole on Torment Mode used to be a required achievement, and it was the wall that stopped most completion runs. The 1.0.3 update removed it from the achievement list after player feedback that the difficulty was out of step with the rest of the game. Torment Mode still exists and still unlocks after a standard Wormhole clear, but finishing it now awards a special wall plaque rather than an achievement. If you had every other achievement before the patch landed, Transcendental Invertebrate should be waiting the next time you launch the game.

Confirming Transcendental Invertebrate unlocked

Transcendental Invertebrate has no action of its own. It fires the moment every other achievement on the list is marked complete, which in practice means it pops right after whichever of Expensive Taste or Worm-fluencer you finish last. Its 0.3% unlock rate makes it the rarest thing in the game.

If your achievement list shows everything else unlocked and Transcendental Invertebrate has not appeared, close the game completely and relaunch it, then check the list again. The check runs on startup as well as on unlock, so a restart resolves the case where the final achievement registered but the capstone did not follow.

The practical route through all of it is to treat the workweek as the timed portion and the post-credits sandbox as the cleanup. Lock in the one-minute message reply, the flower order, and the land purchase while the calendar is still running, max both perk trees before the promotion call, and leave the die rolls, the desk clearing, the 911 calls and the final Shop sweep for after Steve signs off on your promotion.
