Every Aniimo carries a personality made of four letters, and those letters quietly change its stats. The system borrows the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) format, so each creature lands on one of sixteen combinations like ENFP or ISTJ. Which letters you want depends entirely on the role the Aniimo plays in your team.

Quick answer: Aim for E + N on DPS, E + S on Break, and I + J on Healers and Support. The remaining two slots are flexible defensive choices.

How Aniimo personality slots change stats

A personality has four slots, and each slot offers one of two letters. You only ever get one bonus per slot, never both. That means the four-letter code fully describes the passive stat boosts the Aniimo carries.

SlotOption AOption B
1E: Energetic — ATK +2%, BREAK +2%I: Instinctive — REGEN +4%
2S: Practical — DMG +4%N: Nimble — Crit Rate +5%
3T: Tenacious — P.DEF +6%F: Faithful — M.DEF +6%
4J: Judicious — HP +4%P: Playful — DMG Reduction +4%

There are 16 different personality types in total, one for every possible mix of the four slots. Slots one and two drive offense, while slots three and four handle survivability, so the first two letters matter most for a combat role.

Best personalities by role

DPS Aniimo: Energetic and Nimble

Damage dealers want raw attack in slot one and a critical-hit boost in slot two, which means Energetic (E) followed by Nimble (N). That combination pushes both attack and crit rate, the two numbers a carry leans on hardest. For the back two slots, take either Tenacious or Faithful, then Judicious or Playful.

Break Aniimo: Energetic and Practical

Break creatures need higher damage and stronger Break pressure, so slot one should be Energetic (E) for the BREAK bonus and slot two should be Practical (S) for flat damage. Energetic is the priority letter here because it directly raises Break damage against enemies, which is the whole point of the role.

Healer and Support Aniimo: Instinctive and Judicious

Sustain roles care about regeneration and health rather than attack, so target Instinctive (I) in slot one for the REGEN boost and Judicious (J) in slot four for extra HP. The middle slots are open, so pick Practical or Nimble, then Tenacious or Faithful based on the damage type you expect to face.

How to change an Aniimo’s personality

Personalities are assigned randomly when you obtain an Aniimo, but they are not locked. Feeding a creature a Psyche Fruit rerolls its personality, again at random. If the passive stat bonuses your Aniimo landed on do not match its role, keep feeding Psyche Fruits until the letters line up with the targets above.

Because each reroll is random, decide the two priority letters for the role before you start feeding, then stop as soon as slots one and two match. Chasing a perfect four-letter code costs far more Psyche Fruits than it is usually worth.

You will know the change worked when the four-letter code on the Aniimo’s status screen updates and the listed passive bonuses shift to match the new letters.
