Fragrant Colors is picked up in the Sea of Flowers, but it stays locked until you clear a short chain of story and training steps first. You must complete The Unbegun Ceremony, then work through Elite Training Chapter 1 before the promotion becomes available.

- Finish the required tasks in Elite Training Chapter 1.
- Reach Level 25.
- Promote to Grade II Student through Promotion: Dewdrop Crystal’s Resonance.
The Elite Training Chapter 1 tasks center on the Forest of Falling Stars. They include catching and reporting 30 Aniimo in total, catching one Eko and one Pomegg in the Forest of Falling Stars, leveling two Aniimo to Level 25, defeating the area Alpha Stellarys, and earning the Bronze Collection Badge there. You report your catches at an Outpost Research Console.
The promotion itself is the Growth Story quest Promotion: Dewdrop Crystal’s Resonance. Answer Dr. Lewis’s call, go to the Sea of Flowers, meet Wally, examine the clues in the field, then defeat Wally in a duel. Return to the Outpost, pass Dr. Lewis’s theory exam, and you become a Grade II Student with the level cap raised to 35.
