Kona’s “Recover the Lost Pages” quest is a short fetch job in Windy Peak, and it never sends you outside the village. A gust of wind scattered five pages from an old book across the area, and every one of them sits on the ground within a quick sprint of Kona’s house. Finish it and you walk away with the Book of Guidance plus a small chunk of Exp and Wen.

Where to start the Lost Pages quest in Windy Peak

Kona stands outside a house in the Windy Peak village, along the main pathway that runs through the settlement. The NPC has a standard nameplate above their head, so you can spot them while running down the path.

Talk to Kona and accept the dialogue. The quest log adds Recover the Lost Pages 0/1 with a sub-counter reading Lost Pages 0/5. That counter is the only thing you need to watch while you run the route.

Each page lies flat on the ground with a “Lost Page” interaction prompt floating above it, so walk up and interact to pick it up. The pages are not numbered individually, and the counter only tracks the total, which means you can collect them in whatever order suits your position.

Fastest route to collect every Lost Page

From Kona, run around the left side of the house toward the paved stone area. The first Lost Page is on the ground beside a row of three wooden barrels, near a stone lantern.

Continue past the barrels toward the stone wall that marks the village boundary. The second page rests in the corner where the wall meets the grass, right next to a patch of purple flowers.

Head down the path toward the village center and pass through the Torii gate into the garden. Turn right and the third page is lying directly in front of the large glowing pink crystal.

Run past the crystal toward the large tree. The fourth page sits in the gap between the tree trunk and a large dark blue rock.

Move past the rock and push through the bushes into the open grassy stretch near the bamboo. The fifth and final page is on the grass beside the bamboo stalks.

The pages glow faintly pink against the grass, which makes the last two easier to spot if you sweep the camera low while running.

Book of Guidance and quest rewards

Picking up the fifth page fires a notification reading “You found them… The Book of Guidance is yours.” The Book of Guidance lands in your inventory automatically at that moment, described in-game as Kona’s recovered pages bound into a road-worn book with margins marked by travelers who needed direction.

How to confirm the quest is complete

The quest remains open after you gather all five pages. Go back through the village, enter Kona’s house, and speak to Kona once more so you can give her the book.

When the counter reaches Lost Pages 5/5, the turn-in text confirms that the Book of Guidance is safely entrusted and urges you to continue its recorded journey; Exp and Wen are also awarded to your character. Check your inventory afterward: the Book of Guidance should be present with its description unchanged, confirming that the reward was properly registered.
