Among the Faithful is one of the early Skyborn story quests in World of Warcraft Forever, and it is a single-objective eavesdrop step rather than a kill or collect task. The whole thing takes place inside one building in Falaath Village, and it gates the rest of the starting zone storyline, which is why so many players have stalled on it.
Quick answer: Take Among the Faithful from Missionary Jasaan in Falaath Village, clear the large house, interact with the wardrobe upstairs, listen until the objective reads 1/1, then turn it in at Shen’dar Village.

Falaath Village sits south of Shen’dar Village on the map, with Woodbreeze Lake between them. The two settlements are close enough that you can run the route on foot in under two minutes.
How to complete Among the Faithful
Once the objective ticks over, you can leave through the balcony and jump down instead of running back through the building. Skyborn characters have a slow fall effect, so the drop toward Woodbreeze Lake is safe.
How to confirm the objective completed
You get two confirmations. An on-screen alert reads Objective Complete as the dialogue ends, and the quest tracker on the right side of the screen flips from 0/1 Learn about the cultists’ plans to 1/1. If the tracker still shows 0/1, the conversation did not finish and you need to interact with the wardrobe again.
Wardrobe not spawning: what to do
The quest was bugged during the WoW Forever beta, with the wardrobe failing to spawn on many layers. Players arriving at the second floor saw only the quest sparkles on an empty patch of floor, with nothing to click, and the problem was widespread enough that groups of characters were stacked up in the same spot unable to continue. The object has since been fixed, but if you hit the empty-sparkles state, here is what worked for people at the time.
- Fully exit the client and relaunch it. Logging out to the character select screen alone did not fix it for several players.
- Log back in standing in the spot where the two cultists hold their conversation.
- Layer or phase hopping with a group did not reliably help, so do not count on it.
Logging out removes the effect that keeps Falaath Village neutral toward you. After relaunching, return to the quest giver to get it back before walking through the village again.
Do not abandon the quest to try to reset it. Players who dropped Among the Faithful reported being unable to pick it back up afterwards, including with low-level quests enabled on the map. Skipping it entirely still lets you leave the island, but it cuts off the rest of the starting zone story and leaves you underlevelled.
Where to turn in Among the Faithful
The turn-in is not back at Missionary Jasaan. Head north out of Falaath Village, cross or swim Woodbreeze Lake, and follow the stone path up the hillside to Shen’dar Village. Your Hearthstone is also set there, so casting it is the fastest route once the objective is done.
The turn-in NPC is stationed in the pavilion hall in the middle of the village, alongside the other officers. Reports of the name vary between builds and layers, with players handing it in to Commander Aundis and to the village constable, so look for the yellow question mark on the minimap rather than a specific nameplate. Completing it awards the follow-up quest Havoc in the Highlands, which is the confirmation that the starting zone chain has unblocked.
Once Havoc in the Highlands is in your quest log, the rest of the Skyborn intro chain opens back up and you can keep levelling through Shen’dar Highlands as normal.
