Skippy has three looks in Aniimo, and the Snowfield Form is the only one that picks up a second element. It is a Water/Ice Heal Aniimo at the Lumin stage, and it lives in exactly one place on the map, so there is no hunting around multiple biomes for it.

Quick answer: Fast travel into Driftwise Meadow and head for the snowy crater next to the frozen lake at -0455, 2085. Level 55 Snowfield Skippy roam the slopes there. Throw an Aniipod to catch one.

Snowfield Skippy location in Driftwise Meadow

Driftwise Meadow is a Lv. 51–55 zone, so bring a team that can survive the trip even if you only plan to catch and leave. Open the world map and zoom into the region. The spot you want sits around the middle of the meadow, marked by a shallow snowy crater ringed with pine trees and a frozen lake on its edge.

Approach from the lake side. Once you cross the ice and start climbing the slope on the far side of the crater, you are in the spawn area.

Spawns here are generous. Several Snowfield Skippy drift across the hillside at once at Lv. 55, so a failed catch is not a long wait for another attempt.

How to catch Snowfield Skippy

Get within throwing range of a Skippy on the slope. They wander rather than flee on sight, so you can line one up without aggroing the whole group.
Switch to the Aniipod you want to use and aim at the target. The reticle locks on so you can confirm you are throwing at a Skippy and not something else on the hill.
Throw the Aniipod. The base catch chance for this form is 38% from a wild spawn, so plan on more than one throw.

Two multipliers are worth setting up before you throw, and one timing trick:

  • Putting the Skippy into BREAK multiplies the catch rate by 1.5.
  • Throwing from behind for a backstab also multiplies the rate by 1.5.
  • Snowfield Skippy sleep at night, which makes a clean backstab throw far easier to line up.
  • Sparkling variants appear at a base rate of 1 in 20,000.

A successful throw brings up a capture card with the Aniimo’s portrait and the Snowfield Form label, and the Aniilog entry fills in. If you want a specific personality, the odds are Cheerful 50%, Gentle 30%, and Aloof 20%.

Pranky in Snowfield Form turns up on the same hillside. Interacting with one pushes the Special Form collection progress along and gives a Collaboration Level increase, so it is worth grabbing while you are up there.

Snowfield Skippy stats, element, and role

The spread is flat and the total is low for its bracket, which is normal for a Lumin-stage Aniimo. M.DEF and HP are the two numbers worth investing in. Its Water typing hits Fire and Earth harder, while the Ice side covers Water and Lightning. Grass is the one element to keep it away from, since it takes 1.6x damage from it. Water attacks barely scratch it, at 0.391x.

Homeland abilities are Carry Lv. 1, Water Lv. 1, and Ice Lv. 1, and its pathfinding skill is Swim Lv. 1.

Skills and trait

Healing Water is the reason to run this one. It costs 20 EP, has a 20-second cooldown, and restores every ally’s HP by 8% of the caster’s max HP, then heals the caster for a further 10% of their max HP over 5 seconds.

Water Orb and Ice Orb are its two ranged attacks. Both are aimed by holding the skill button, and the Ice Orb is exclusive to this form. Its innate attack is a ranged magic Water hit.

Its trait, Water Spirit, cuts the EP cost of all skills by 16% while it is standing in water terrain. That pairs well with the Heal role, since the limiting factor on Healing Water is energy rather than cooldown in longer fights.

Evolving Snowfield Skippy into Pranky and Glacy

The Snowfield line keeps its form through both evolutions, but only if you evolve it in the right place. Both steps require a snowy area, so the simplest approach is to level it and evolve it without leaving Driftwise Meadow.

Resonance for this form draws on Wave Stone, Skippy Dewdrop Crystal, and Breezy Plains Dewdrop Crystal, with the first star-up stage costing 20 Skippy Dewdrop Crystal on its own.

Collecting all three Skippy forms — Basic, Sea of Flowers, and Snowfield — grants a +2 Constitution bonus, so the trip out to the crater is worth making even if you are not planning to build the Aniimo itself.
