Ashes of the Damned: How to Get the Ol’ Tessie Toy (Super Easter Egg)

The Ol’ Tessie Toy is the first of six collectibles required for the Black Ops 7 Zombies Super Easter Egg, and it lives on Ashes of the Damned. Earning it is a long chain of actions that starts with finding the Twins, rebuilds the Necrofluid Gauntlet, and ends with an exfil. Work through the sequence below in a single run.

Quick answer: Find the Twins, build the Necrofluid Gauntlet, use it with Dark Flare to open the toy box at Vandorn Farm, charge three pink crystals in Monolith Forest, grab the 115 meteor shard from Blackwater Lake, then trade it for the toy and exfil.

Requirements before you start

Two conditions gate this entire run. Meet both or the steps will not trigger.

You must have completed the map’s main Easter egg in Standard, Cursed, or Directed mode.
You must finish every step below in one continuous game, without saving and quitting.
Equip the Dark Flare Field Upgrade and Stun Grenades before you begin.

Once you spawn in, grab T.E.D.D.’s head from the server room, install it on Ol’ Tessie, and turn on the power at Blackwater Lake, Vandorn Farm, and Ashwood by clearing the blights on each generator. Full map power is needed before the toy box can be opened.

Step 1: Find and interact with the Twins

The Twins only appear after Ol’ Tessie is built and once you travel from Blackwater Lake to Ashwood, or from Vandorn Farm to Ashwood. They spawn in one of four spots.

The Lost Cabins in the north, between Blackwater and Ashwood.

After you reach the Twins, they disappear. Their next location is the barn at Vandorn Farm, the one with the windmill; above it, a floating toy box hangs within a dark storm cloud.

Step 2: Build the Necrofluid Gauntlet

The Wonder Weapon is required to pull down and open the toy box. If you already know the build, skip ahead. Otherwise, follow this condensed run.

On Round 8, spawn the Uber Klaus at Janus Towers Plaza and defeat both phases. It drops the Stabilizer Chip.

Bring the chip to Ashwood’s Sheriff’s Office and put it into the terminal on Klaus’s cell. Once the panel says a restart is required, rapidly hit Klaus with two Stun Grenades to stun him. He gets up and follows you as a Protector Robot.

Drive Klaus to the Zarya Cosmodrome, open the Support Systems area, and command him to interact with the wall panel. Activate the scanner and hold the red circle for the full lockdown, keeping zombies out. When it completes, pick up the Aether Barrel.

Carry the Aether Barrel between Ashwood, Blackwater Lake, and Vandorn Farm, charging it at each stop in that order; then put it in the Kortifex cube box in the cellar beneath the farm’s barn.

Take the jump pad from Vandorn Farm toward Janus Towers Plaza and read the three symbols on the barn, house, and silo roofs. Input them on the sides of the cube, then interact with the eye. Pick up the Necrofluid Gauntlet, and shoot then recall the six green orbs to end the lockdown.

Step 3: Open the toy box at Vandorn Farm

Return to Vandorn Farm and look above the windmill for the black cloud. Shoot it with the Necrofluid Gauntlet, then reload to recall the spike, which pulls the toy box down to the ground.

With Dark Flare equipped, shoot the grounded toy box with the Field Upgrade to open it. This spawns the Twins again.

Pick up a Fumigator from Janus Towers Plaza or Vandorn Farm before moving on, since the next step needs it.

Step 4: Charge three pink crystals in Monolith Forest

Enter Monolith Forest between Blackwater Lake and Janus Towers Plaza and search for three pink crystals sitting on pillars. Their spawn spots are randomized, so bring Cymbal Monkeys or another way to clear the super sprinters that chase you through the fog.

Fire the Necrofluid Gauntlet at each crystal to knock it down, then use the Fumigator on it. A purple light confirms success. Perform this process on all three crystals.

Step 5: Collect the 115 meteor shard at Blackwater Lake

Charging all three crystals causes a 115 meteor to crash into Blackwater Lake. Head there and interact with the meteor to trigger the same purple light.

Advance to the next round. The meteor splits in half, exposing a small 115 shard in the middle. Pick it up.

Step 6: Claim the Ol’ Tessie toy and exfil

Carry the 115 shard back to Vandorn Farm and interact with the toy box. The shard is exchanged for the Ol’ Tessie toy, which you can then pick up.

Play through to an exfil round. Exfil is available every five rounds, so Round 16, Round 21, and so on. Call in the exfil.

During the exfil, the Ol’ Tessie toy sits in the phone booth. Kill the HVT and the toy teleports into the house. Complete the exfil to leave the map.

You know it worked when you finish the exfil and the Ol’ Tessie toy is displayed on the shelf inside Rex’s Infernos. That confirms part one of six for the Super Easter Egg is complete, and you can move on to the remaining maps.
