Natural Disaster Survival: How to Get The Disaster Forecaster in Roblox Hunt 20

The 2011 stop in The Hunt: Roblox 20 sends you into Natural Disaster Survival, where the badge on offer is called The Disaster Forecaster. The quest itself is short, but it punishes impatience: an animal only counts once you have carried it through an entire disaster round without dying.

Quick answer: Rescue three animals. Pick one up during a round, survive to the end, deposit it in the lobby pen, then claim the reward from the 2011 pedestal in The Hunt hub.

The Disaster Forecaster reward and event deadline

The Disaster Forecaster is a back accessory shaped like an oversized compass, awarded alongside a badge from Stickmasterluke’s Natural Disaster Survival. It sits in the 2011 slot of the event’s Year Zero run through Roblox history, between Work at a Pizza Place and Base Wars.

The Hunt: Roblox 20 closes on September 28, 2026 at 1PM ET, so the rescues and the claim both need to happen before that.

Rules that decide whether a rescue counts

Before you start hunting for pets, it helps to know exactly what the quest is checking for. Picking an animal up is only the first half of the job.

Animals spawn at random spots on the map during active rounds, and they can be dogs, cats, or rabbits.
You have to be holding the animal when the round ends.
Dying at any point voids that rescue, and your progress counter does not move.
Only a handful of animals spawn per map, so other players are competing for the same pets.
The surviving animal has to go into the pen in the lobby for the count to tick up.

Join a smaller server, or use a private one. Fewer players means less competition for the limited spawns, and in a private server you are not racing anyone at all.

How to rescue three animals in Natural Disaster Survival

Launch Natural Disaster Survival and wait in the lobby until the next round loads. You will see the pen with the floating “Rescue 3 animals!” text, which is where every rescued pet ends up.

When the round begins and the “DISASTER WARNING” banner appears, start sweeping the map for an animal instead of heading straight for cover. Pets can be tucked anywhere, including rooftops, so check upper floors as well as the ground.

Pick the animal up and then play the round normally. Move away from the hazard the warning text calls out, whether that is the volcano, a blizzard, or a collapsing building, and keep hold of the pet the whole time.

Survive until the round ends and you are returned to the lobby. Walk the animal over to the pen and drop it in. The on-screen counter updates to “Animal rescued 1 / 3” as confirmation.

Repeat the same loop on two more maps. When the third animal goes into the pen, a “Quest Complete!” banner appears and the Animal Rescue badge is awarded.

Claim The Disaster Forecaster at the 2011 pedestal

Finishing the rescues does not hand you the accessory by itself. Head back to The Hunt: Roblox 20 hub and into the 2011 Natural Disaster Survival area, then walk up to the golden pedestal marked as the Year 6 Challenge.

Interact with it and press Claim. A “Badge Awarded” notification pops up reading that Stickmasterluke presents “The Disaster Forecaster” award, and that is your confirmation the era is done. The same pedestal also shows a leaderboard of completion times for the event.

Each era gates the next one, so claim at the pedestal rather than assuming the quest badge alone moves you forward.

The separate hat quest hidden in the same lobby

Natural Disaster Survival also hides a second objective that has nothing to do with the animals. It unlocks after all 20 main quests are finished and Year Infinity is open, and it runs on a public server rather than a private one.

Start in the waiting lobby and use the central blue staircase to reach the grey podium. Position yourself in its middle to reveal an underground room containing a blue monitor with the value False. Set it to True to activate the hat objective.

From there, hats drop from players who die or leave during ordinary rounds, and there is no limit on how many you can grab in a single map. Deposit them in the Donation Box opposite the computer until the box has taken 20 hats, which unlocks the Hat Donation Box secret badge. The matching Personal Safety Spikes are claimed from a statue behind the red barn in the 2011 hub area.

Both objectives share the same clock, so if you want the compass and the spikes, get the three rescues logged early and treat the hats as a longer grind across whatever rounds you play afterwards.
