Project Slayers 2: How to Get the Nightfall Katana Schematic

In Project Slayers 2, the Nightfall Katana ranks among the upper-tier Nichirin weapons, surpassing standard boss katanas. It is neither sold by a shop nor dropped by mobs. Instead, you find its schematic in the world, then use Togane’s forge with a prerequisite katana and a stack of dungeon materials to turn it into the finished weapon.

Quick answer: Dive off the docks at Mistfall Harbor, swim east toward the waterfall, pass under it into the cave, and take the Nightfall Katana Schematic off the ledge inside.

The blueprint is free. It is not sold, gated behind a quest, or locked behind a puzzle like some of the other Nightfall pieces, which makes it one of the fastest schematics in the set to collect. The only obstacle is the swim, and the entrance is easy to miss because it sits behind falling water.

Teleport to the Mistfall Harbor Shrine. If you do not have the shrine unlocked yet, you can run the overland route from Bamboo Grove, following the path past the torii gates and out through the wilderness until the red gate of Mistfall Harbor comes into view.

From the shrine, head down through the harbor buildings toward the docks. Drop over the wooden railing onto the lower platform near the water’s edge, past Soryu Expert Kazuma.

Jump into the ocean and swim east. Keep going until a waterfall appears on your right along the cliff wall.

Turn toward the waterfall and swim under it. The water hides a cave entrance in the rock face, so keep pushing forward rather than surfacing early.

Pass through the opening and climb the far side. On a small rocky ledge, a stone altar displays the katana. Use the altar to claim the Mythic Nightfall Katana Schematic.

Swimming in first person makes the underwater section far easier to read, since the cave mouth is dark and the camera clips against the cliff in third person.

How to confirm you picked up the right item

Open your inventory after interacting with the altar. The entry should read Nightfall Katana Schematic and carry Mythic rarity. What you are holding is the blueprint, not the weapon, so no katana appears in your weapon slot at this stage and nothing changes about your current loadout.

If the inventory shows nothing new, you either missed the interact prompt on the ledge or surfaced before reaching the correct alcove. Swim back through and check the ledge again.

Nightfall Katana crafting requirements

The schematic is the gate, but it is not the whole cost. Crafting runs through Togane’s Nichirin Forge, and the recipe consumes an existing katana along with endgame resources farmed out of the Ouwigahara Dungeon. Bank everything before you walk to the anvil, because a craft missing one ingredient will not start.

The katana used in the forge is consumed. Submit only the blade required by the recipe, and finish one Nightfall piece for your main style before making another.

Flame, Wind, Thunder, and Water builds each have a Nightfall option. Styles outside that group are better served by a fully reforged boss katana, which remains the cheaper and more sensible endgame weapon.

How the Tier 3 blade performs in ranked PvP

Paired with maxed Sword Mastery and Thunder Mastery, the Tier 3 katana trades comfortably against Water breathing users. Thunder combos land inside the gaps left by Water’s cooldowns, and the extra stamina pool supports longer aggressive strings without running dry mid-rush.

Closing rounds is usually a matter of rushing across the arena into a combo string and finishing with an ultimate. The win screen confirms the point without any ambiguity.

The harder matchup is the Tengen Uzui clan with dual cleavers, where auto-parries and explosion coverage punish predictable approaches head-on. Hit-and-run spacing around the arena perimeter works better, baiting the parry to fire on nothing before committing to a real string. A vertical aerial Thunder combo is a reliable way to take the deciding round once the parry is on cooldown.
