Genshin Impact Vodyanitsa: Full Kit and Constellations Explained

A clear breakdown of Vodyanitsa's talents, passives, and every Constellation from C1 to C6.

A clear breakdown of Vodyanitsa’s talents, passives, and every Constellation from C1 to C6.

Vodyanitsa is a 5-star Hydro catalyst character who arrives in Genshin Impact during Version 7.1. She plays as an off-field support who heals, shreds enemy resistance, and buffs Stellar Swirl, Freeze, and Cryo teams. Almost everything she does scales off her Max HP, which shapes both her kit and how her Constellations pay off.

Quick answer: Vodyanitsa’s Elemental Skill lowers Hydro and Cryo RES and heals your active character, while her Constellations turn her Max HP into team ATK, CRIT DMG, and elemental damage buffs.

Vodyanitsa core profile and role

Vodyanitsa is the prima donna of the Korolevskiy Troupe, and her whole design points toward supporting a main damage dealer rather than being one herself. Her personal damage stays low, so her value comes from healing, interruption resistance, and layered buffs. The important numbers below cover her identity and the timing you build rotations around.

Vodyanitsa talents

Normal Attack: Psyshkhwe Arietta

Tapping the attack button performs up to four consecutive Hydro strikes. Holding it consumes stamina to throw a water ball forward for Hydro damage. Her plunging attack drops from mid-air and deals AoE Hydro damage on impact, hitting enemies along the way. In most teams you rarely use these, which is why her Normal Attack sits last on any talent upgrade order.

Elemental Skill: Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn

This is the center of Vodyanitsa’s kit. Casting it reveals her Water Imp form, deals AoE Hydro damage, and grants the Song of Ages Past effect. During that window she summons the Horn of Spring’s Call, which periodically closes in on an enemy and strikes for Hydro damage.

Enemies hit by either source have their Hydro RES and Cryo RES lowered. While Song of Ages Past is active, your on-field character also gains increased interruption resistance and steady HP regeneration based on Vodyanitsa’s Max HP. Because her resistance shred lives here, the Elemental Skill is the top priority for talent levels.

Elemental Burst: Sink With Thee

Her Burst leads a song of the Water Imps that deals AoE Hydro damage to enemies. When cast while Song of Ages Past is active, that damage is increased further. The Burst is not mandatory in every rotation, so many builds skip heavy Energy Recharge and treat it as a bonus rather than a requirement.

Vodyanitsa passive talents

The Last Djeguako Songstress (1st Ascension): When she casts Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn, any Stellar Vortex on the field becomes a Wandering Vortex. If a nearby party member triggers a Stellar Swirl reaction during Song of Ages Past, a Wandering Vortex forms instead. Generating or detonating a Wandering Vortex lowers nearby enemies’ Anemo RES by 30% for six seconds, and it extends the Radiance: Stellar Swirl state on party members by four seconds.

Dirge of the Fandyr (4th Ascension): Using her Elemental Skill grants 25 stacks of Lead Vocal and 10 stacks of Chorus. Both effects last 30 seconds, and the stack count refreshes every time she casts the Skill again.

Echoes Over the Frozen Lake (utility): Holding the Elemental Skill out of combat turns her into her Water Imp form, letting her swim for up to 10 seconds at the cost of stamina and move across the water’s surface. She leaves the form when the Skill is pressed again, the duration ends, or stamina runs out. Swimming faster raises her stamina drain.

Heartless Siren Song (additional): This passive is purely cosmetic: Vodyanitsa uses her own voice to sing rather than playing a musical instrument.

Vodyanitsa Constellations (C1 to C6)

Pulling duplicate copies of Vodyanitsa earns her Stella Fortuna, which unlocks each Constellation level. Every step either upgrades an existing ability or strengthens a passive. Her Constellations lean heavily into buffing Hydro, Cryo, and Stellar Swirl teams.

How the key Constellations work

C2 is the standout. When the Horn of Spring’s Call hits an enemy, Vodyanitsa gains “Two Voices in Black and White,” raising the active character’s CRIT DMG from Hydro and Cryo by 50% for five seconds. If a Wandering Vortex is on the field, or within five seconds of one exploding, the effect switches to a 60% CRIT DMG boost for Stellar Swirl reaction damage instead. It also extends Song of Ages Past by nine seconds, which helps her uptime.

C6 pushes that buff further. The “Two Voices in Black and White” effect now applies to every nearby party member, and while Song of Ages Past is active, nearby allies deal 30% more Stellar Swirl reaction damage along with a 60% increase to Hydro and Cryo damage.

C1 and C4 both trigger from her healing. C1 turns each heal into a team ATK buff scaling off her Max HP, while C4 either boosts low-HP healing by 50% or stacks up to 60% extra Max HP on Vodyanitsa herself, which feeds her HP-based buffs. C3 and C5 are straightforward talent level increases for her Skill and Burst.

If you invest, prioritize C2 first, then C6, then C1. Those three add the most to her buffing for Hydro, Cryo, and Stellar Swirl teams, and she already functions fully as a healer and support at C0.

Taken together, Vodyanitsa folds healing, interruption resistance, multi-element resistance shred, and flexible damage buffs into a single support slot. Level her Elemental Skill first, stack Max HP, and her Constellations simply scale how much she gives back to the rest of the team.
