Vesna is a 5-star Anemo Sword character from Snezhnaya who fights as an on-field Stellar Swirl DPS. Her kit turns nearby Cryo Swirls into Stellar Swirl reactions and scales that damage with her own ATK, so her strongest teams pair her with off-field Cryo application, an Anemo buffer, and a support that boosts Stellar Swirl directly.
Quick answer: Run Vesna + Odette + Faruzan + Vodyanitsa as the premium team, or Vesna + Qiqi + Cryo Traveler + Faruzan as the free-to-play version.
What every Vesna team needs
Vesna deals Anemo damage that counts as Stellar Swirl, which means her teams are built around triggering and buffing that reaction. Before picking exact names, fill these three roles:
- At least one off-field Cryo character to apply Cryo so Vesna’s Anemo can create Stellar Swirl.
- A second Anemo unit or a dedicated Stellar Swirl buffer to raise her reaction damage.
- A source of healing or shielding, since Vesna stays on the field and takes hits.
She is Anemo herself, so a second Anemo teammate is helpful but not mandatory. When you run no other Anemo unit, Vesna can hold Viridescent Venerer to shred Anemo and Cryo resistance for the party.
Premium team: Vesna + Odette + Faruzan + Vodyanitsa
This is Vesna’s highest-output lineup, using two 5-star buffers to feed and amplify her Stellar Swirl reactions while she stays on the field.
The team’s Cryo member, Odette, works off-field to apply Cryo and personally activate powerful Stellar Swirl and Stellar-Conduct. She can grant up to 60% bonus Stellar damage, while the Heart of the Furnace set suits her naturally and supplies another 50% Stellar damage bonus.
Vodyanitsa cannot enable Stellar Swirl on her own, but she reduces enemies’ Anemo resistance and provides an additive buff to Stellar Swirl damage, which can nearly double the Stellar Swirls Vesna triggers. She also handles the team’s healing through her Wandering Vortex, so you get sustain without spending a fourth slot on a dedicated healer.
Faruzan rounds out the team as an Anemo-exclusive support. She reduces enemy Anemo resistance and adds a flat Anemo damage buff that carries over to Vesna’s Stellar Swirl reactions. Her value climbs sharply with constellations, and at C6 she meaningfully lifts Vesna’s overall damage.
If you prefer a pure damage ceiling over sustain, you can swap Vodyanitsa for Faruzan or another buffer, but you then need healing from elsewhere.
Free-to-play team: Vesna + Qiqi + Cryo Traveler + Faruzan
This version keeps the same Stellar Swirl core using characters most players can access. It still performs at a high level for the easier end-game content.
Qiqi and the Cryo Traveler together cover the Cryo side of every Stellar Swirl. Both apply Cryo reliably from off-field. The Cryo Traveler is a free character who often deals a large share of the team’s damage in Stellar Swirl setups, and their constellations are easy to unlock since they cost no wishes. Qiqi supplies the team’s healing while also buffing Stellar damage.
Faruzan again handles the Anemo buffing and resistance shred. Because Vesna is Anemo herself, you generally only need around 120% Energy Recharge on her to keep her Burst in the rotation, especially with a second Anemo unit present.
Flexible teammates and role swaps
The fourth slot in a Vesna team has room to change based on what you own. Use the table to match a character to the role you still need to fill.

Off-field Cryo is essential, so at least one Cryo teammate always belongs in the lineup. A second Anemo unit is optional because Vesna covers that element herself. Anemo picks like Venti or Kaedehara Kazuha are usually not worth a slot here, since they add little that specifically boosts Stellar Swirl.
Yumemizuki Mizuki also wants to be on the field for her own Stellar Swirl damage, so she competes with Vesna for field time. Pairing them only works if you split and shorten each character’s turn on the field.
Off-meta Anemo driver team
Vesna’s Normal, Charged, and Plunging attacks are infused with Anemo while she is in her Skill state, so she can act as an on-field driver in a regular team that triggers reactions like Lunar or Electrocharged instead of Stellar Swirl. This goes against her intended design, and there is little reason to invest heavily in it.
Treat it as a stopgap while you level the Cryo and Anemo teammates that let you run her as a proper Stellar Swirl DPS. Once those units are ready, the premium or free-to-play Stellar Swirl teams will always outperform the driver setup.
