Ronova states that no mortal body or mind can contain such power, including one afflicted with the Curse of Immortality. Pierro insists that the Fatui would sacrifice anything for a glimpse of the gods, then activates the device regardless.
Purple energy surges through Pierro’s gauntlet and spreads across the battlefield as a vortex, which is the cue for Dainsleif and the Traveler to press in again.
How the battle plays out, beat by beat
The coordinated assault
The Traveler infuses their blade with Electro and flanks while Dainsleif keeps Ronova occupied at close range. Pierro fires concentrated Electro blasts from the rear, forcing Ronova to deflect instead of attack. Ronova answers with volleys of red spikes and beams that scatter the group.
The crimson eye and the Traveler’s return
With a cry of “That is enough!”, Ronova brings forth an immense crimson eye-shaped sigil and sends out a shockwave. The Traveler is hurled across broken dimensional space into a void, then races up a gigantic floating staircase, feeding Electro into their boots to gain speed.
The sprint ends with a leap back through a dimensional fracture and a golden charged slash straight into the crimson barrier. That strike punctures the shield, and a beam of light tears through the red sky. Ronova visibly does not expect it, and Pierro notes that her strength is still formidable even with her Authority of Death stripped.
Pierro’s final strike
Pierro begins by forming a gigantic crystalline Electro lance over the battlefield. Crimson beams then answer from Ronova, forcing Dainsleif to pull Pierro clear of their path.
The memory behind the finale follows: Pierro sees again Ronova’s blank expression from five hundred years earlier, when she placed the Curse of Immortality upon Khaenri’ah without pity or delight. Within a radiant magic circle, he cries, “Look at me now! Ronova, confront your foe and experience all the strength of the living!”
Rotating runic circles open across the sky and a colossal purple weapon drives down into Ronova’s crimson dome. Pierro pushes the device past its limit, the barrier gives way, and the impact detonates in an explosion that sweeps the whole plain.
The Tsaritsa, Rhinedottir, and the six Gnoses
Midway through the fight the camera cuts to a frost-covered hall in Snezhnaya. Rhinedottir approaches the Cryo Archon at a frosted table and points out that the six collected Gnoses were gathered to deal with her. The Gnoses then activate, aligning above a circular chamber and sealing Rhinedottir inside a glowing cubic barrier.
Rhinedottir reads the trap out loud. The amplified Cryo energy cannot freeze space and time outright, but it does slow the flow of time inside the barrier. She asks whether she is wrong, and the Tsaritsa says nothing.
This interlude explains Ronova’s opening line. The anomaly she senses is Rhinedottir being pinned in Snezhnaya while the fight is still in progress.
Is Ronova dead after Pierro’s attack?

She channels that power into the pillar. Fractures race up the structure and its exterior shatters as she calls the destruction her parting gift to the world, her crimson feathers scattering as she disappears into light.
