Workshop Hours is Jack’s order quest, and it is the first time the Town Warehouse asks you to produce something instead of fetching it. The journal entry is short — fulfill Orders, then talk to Jack in the Town Warehouse — but it hides two things that stall players: the crate is crafted at a woodworking station rather than a forge, and Jack only accepts the order on one day of the week.

Quick answer: Craft one Supply Iron crate, drop it on the warehouse supply pallet, then talk to Jack and choose Town Supplied on the weekday his order option is unlocked.

When Workshop Hours unlocks

The quest follows Docked and Found, the reunion that puts Jack in the liberated part of Town and sends him to the warehouse. Once that chain finishes, the Quests menu lists Workshop Hours with a single tracked requirement: Execute Orders [Supply Iron] x1. Nothing else is gated behind it, so you can leave it open while you build up the materials.

Supply Iron recipe and materials

Supply Iron is made at Woodworking Workbench I in your Yard, not at an anvil. That catches people out, because the crate is mostly metal by volume. Open the workbench and check the recipe before you go mining, since the ingot count is the expensive part.

For the ore, open the map from the Inquisition Base and head west over the bridge into the Vineyard. The iron deposits there are close together, so one trip with a decent pickaxe usually covers the six ingots with room to spare. Smelt the ore before returning to the workbench.

Craft and deliver the crate to the Town Warehouse

Queue Supply Iron at Woodworking Workbench I and let the craft finish. The finished order does not go into your inventory — it drops on the ground next to the station as a wooden crate.

Pick the crate up. Your character carries it overhead, which blocks normal inventory use, so sort out any other errands first. Use the teleport stone to travel to Town rather than walking the whole route.
With the crate in hand, enter the Town Warehouse and set it on the wooden supply pallet beside the crane lift; the order recognizes that pallet as the required drop location.

Go up to the desk and open the orders ledger. The Supply Iron order should now read as delivered, which is the signal that the crafting half of Workshop Hours is done.

Jack’s order option is locked to one weekday

With the crate delivered, talk to Jack at the warehouse counter and pick Town Supplied. If that line is greyed out or missing, the delivery is not the problem — Jack keeps a weekly schedule, and the order conversation only opens on the correct day. Sleep at home to push the calendar forward and come back to the same counter.

Deliver the crate first. The Town Supplied choice depends on the Supply Iron order already sitting on the pallet, so turning up on the right weekday with nothing delivered achieves nothing.

Rewards and how to confirm it worked

Once the dialogue finishes, the journal entry flips to the completed line, “I supplied the Town with iron.” The quest tree then shows the follow-ups branching off Workshop Hours, which is the clearest confirmation that the hand-in registered.

The 20 money is not handed over in conversation. Claim it from the Orders desk upstairs in the warehouse after the quest closes.

What opens up afterwards

Two quest lines become available at this point. Jack’s Back in Business has you eliminate the zombies surrounding his workshop, then return to the Town Warehouse to report in; later repair hand-ins get his station running again. The second option is Plaza Battle, the Market Square Purge fight on the Town combat track.

Jack’s upgraded trade tier is the quieter benefit worth acting on immediately. Because it changes what he stocks, it is worth opening his shop once before you leave the warehouse, especially if you have been buying materials elsewhere to keep your own workbenches supplied.
