Genshin Impact 7.1: All Anomaly Quests and Their Locations

Six no-combat errands across Teyvat, each one a short trip to a glowing celestial nail for 20,000 Mora.

Six no-combat errands across Teyvat, each one a short trip to a glowing celestial nail for 20,000 Mora.

Version 7.1 slipped six short quests into the journal under a single banner called The Anomaly. They exist because the Nails of Retribution driven into Teyvat have started glowing and humming again after Ronova, Celestia’s Ruler of Death, was put down. Every entry sends you to one nail, puts a familiar face in front of it, and pays you for showing up. There is no combat, no puzzle, and no order you have to follow.

Quick answer: In the quest menu, place a tracker on all six Anomaly quests, warp to each marker, then speak with the person at the destination. Each conversation awards 20,000 Mora; completing all six gives 120,000.

The four-step routine that clears any Anomaly quest

The six quests follow an identical pattern. Their shared description says that an unusual event involving the Nail of Retribution is occurring across Teyvat and sends you to investigate; only the region listed in the objective differs.

From the quest menu, select any entry beneath The Anomaly. Each listing shows its nation and landmark, allowing you to verify the nail’s destination before traveling.
Set it as your tracked quest, then teleport to the waypoint nearest the pin. Fast travel lands you a short sprint from every marker except Dragonspine, which still asks for a climb.
After arriving, use the distant golden beam to locate the glowing circle on the ground. Every site displays it from far away, so you can leave the map closed once you land.
Activate the interact prompt for the character at the destination and let the dialogue play. The quest completes as soon as it ends, with the Mora delivered immediately.

Anomaly: Mondstadt, the one that takes actual effort

Mondstadt’s entry sends you to the Skyfrost Nail at the top of Dragonspine, and its objective reads “Check out the situation at Dragonspine.” It is the only stop in the set where teleporting is not most of the journey. Take the highest waypoint on the peak, then work your way up the snowy rock faces toward the ruined overlook that sits under the nail.

Bring someone who solves vertical movement. A character who can launch you upward or extend your glide turns a fiddly climb into a straight line to the platform.

Stepping onto the ruined platform triggers a cutscene of the nail itself, lit up and drifting above the mountain, before the camera drops back to Albedo.

Albedo has been on that mountain longer than almost anyone, and he says this is the first time he has seen the nail behave this way. He had assumed its job ended once the Heavenly Principles passed judgment and it wiped out the ancient civilization below. Now that it has started moving again, he intends to stay put and watch what the change does to the surrounding ecosystem. The quest completes when the conversation wraps.

Fontaine does not list this location. In Natlan, head to the overlook in the Basin of Unnumbered Flames, above the stadium; the arena below is not where the marker appears.

Getting to each marker without wandering

  • Snezhnaya: east of Snezhnograd, following the snow-covered railway tracks to the beacon.
  • Liyue: teleport into The Chasm and make for the Cinnabar Cliff ledge over the pit.
  • Inazuma: Yae Miko is located by the shore along Tsurumi Island’s coastline.
  • Sumeru: On the Tanit Camps side of Mt. Damavand, mercenaries are on patrol.
  • For Natlan, head to the elevated viewpoint over the Stadium of the Sacred Flame.

Mora rewards and the Time Remaining countdown

The payout is flat. Every site hands over 20,000 Mora when the dialogue ends, which totals 120,000 across the set. Nothing else is attached — no Primogems, no ascension materials, no character trials. For roughly fifteen minutes of running around, that is a reasonable rate.

These are time-limited. Each entry carries a “Time Remaining” line in the quest menu, which opened with a little over 40 days on the clock. Check that counter rather than assuming the quests stay parked in your journal for the whole version.

How to tell all six are done

A completion banner appears at the end of each conversation, the Mora drops into your inventory, the tracked objective vanishes from the side of the screen, and the gold beam at the site switches off. Those four things happen together, so if the beam is still burning, the quest did not register.

To check the entire set, open the quest menu again. After all six Anomaly entries are finished, they no longer appear under active quests, and their countdowns vanish as well. Any entry left there names its region, showing exactly which nail still needs a visit.
