Innate Potential is the starting stat foundation every Aniimo carries the moment you obtain it. It is fixed at birth and set separately for each of the six core attributes, so two copies of the same species can begin with very different numbers. Understanding it tells you which catches are worth investing in before you spend rare materials.
Quick answer: Innate Potential is set at birth, but you can still add to it. Feed one Capafruit (+1 to all six stats), use same-family inheritance, or claim the Tracing the Trail event’s random potential reward.

What Innate Potential is and how it fits the stat system
Each Aniimo has six attributes that Potential governs: HP, ATK, P.DEF, REGEN, M.DEF, and BREAK. Potential is not the large combat number on the status screen. Instead, every attribute is built from two parts.
- Innate Potential — the value the Aniimo starts with, decided at birth.
- Acquired Potential — the value you add later through Capability Awakening.
Add the two together and you get the Direct Potential for that stat. An attribute with 8 Innate and 4 Acquired sits at 12 Direct Potential. Every attribute is tracked on its own, and each has its own ceiling rather than sharing one pool across all six.

Rarity, shown as Common, Good, Elite, and Perfect, raises the starting profile overall. A Perfect rating does not mean every stat is maxed, though. Perfect Aniimo often concentrate high values in their useful stats while leaving others low, so a Perfect DPS creature may have strong ATK and REGEN without matching defence. Check the individual numbers rather than trusting the rarity badge alone.
An Aniimo’s level and Resonance Star rank determine when higher Potential caps become available; catching one does not immediately grant access to the maximum.

Add to Google Preferences →Three ways to increase Innate Potential
Innate Potential is locked at birth, but three methods let you push it higher after the fact. Each has its own limit, so plan before you spend.
Feed a Capafruit
Using a Capafruit raises +1 Innate Potential for every one of the six attributes. An Aniimo can consume only one during its lifetime, so reserve it for a creature you intend to keep. Collect 20 Capaseeds, then trade them to an outpost vendor to receive a Capafruit.

Use inheritance
Inheritance lets you pass a stat from an Inheritor Aniimo to a chosen one, and you pick which stat to carry over. This only works between Aniimo of the same family type, so you need a suitable donor before you start.
Claim the Tracing the Trail reward
The Tracing the Trail event runs Aniimo investigations. You send a dispatch team into a clue area such as Nimbus Fields and designate a Leader Aniimo, since only the Leader can receive the potential bonus. An investigation needs at least two Aniimo to begin.

Completing an investigation may award a Chance Encounter Gift. Its possible rewards include Random Leader Aniimo Potential +1, which adds one Innate Potential point to a randomly selected attribute. Each Aniimo can receive this effect only once in its lifetime, and an Aniimo at maximum Potential is ineligible. Deploying Sparkling or Prismana Form Aniimo reduces the investigation timer.

How to get Aniimo with high Innate Potential from the start
Raising Innate Potential after the fact is limited, so the faster route is obtaining an Aniimo that already begins strong. Three methods reliably produce high starting stats.
Hatch high-grade eggs
Use an Outpost or Home Hatchinator to hatch eggs. Opening an Incredible Egg always gives Elite potential or higher, although Perfect is not guaranteed. A Sparkling Egg always produces a Sparkling mutation; since mutation and potential are separate, the hatch can still have Common potential. Sparkling Eggs also always produce a Sparkling Aniimo with high stats.
Use a Sparkling Cube while catching
A Sparkling Cube guarantees a 100% catch success rate, makes the Aniimo’s Potential Perfect, and turns it into a Sparkling Aniimo. On an egg hatch it produces both Perfect potential and a Sparkling mutation. Because matching guarantees do not stack, spending one on a Sparkling Egg only adds the Perfect potential the egg did not already provide.

Hunt high-rating and Sparkling Aniimo
Field hunts can turn up Sparkling Aniimo, while the Research Console in the Outpost lets you inspect every catch for strong rolls. Using an Aniipod Ultra on an Incredible or Sparkling Egg guarantees at least Elite potential. A Sparkling Sigil changes a Normal Aniimo you already own into a Sparkling one.
Reading the Potential screen and confirming a change
Open an Aniimo’s Potential screen to see all six attributes with their Innate and Acquired columns. The game marks recommended stats with a thumbs-up indicator, pointing to the attributes that suit that individual creature. Prioritise those when deciding where to invest.
After feeding a Capafruit, each attribute’s Innate value should rise by one. After an inheritance or a Tracing the Trail reward, the affected stat’s Innate number updates on the same screen. A crown on a stat means it has reached its maximum available Potential, which is different from the Perfect rarity badge. A Perfect Aniimo can still have stats that are not yet crowned, so check the individual numbers and crown markers rather than assuming the label means every stat is finished.
