EA FC 27 Hidden Gems: Best Cheap High-Potential Signings for Manager Career

The low-cost young players with the highest ceilings across the men's and women's game, sorted by value and position.

The low-cost young players with the highest ceilings across the men’s and women’s game, sorted by value and position.

A good Manager Career save lives or dies on scouting. The players worth chasing are the low-rated teenagers who cost almost nothing now but carry potential ratings in the mid-to-high 80s, which lets you build a title-winning core without spending a fortune or blowing up your wage budget. Below are the standouts across both the men’s and women’s game, grouped by budget and position so you can sign them before the AI does.

Quick answer: The best cheap gems by position are M. Albert (88 potential, €850K) in midfield, F. Camarda (87, €900K) up front, K. Coulibaly (87, €2.9M) at the back, and D. Seimen (87, €1.9M) in goal. On the women’s side, R. Jackson leads at 88 potential for €160K.

How potential works in FC 27 Career Mode

The potential number next to a player is no longer a fixed ceiling. FC 27’s Dynamic Potential system means a wonderkid’s growth now responds to how you use them. Regular minutes, good morale, form, staying fit, and their Growth Profile all push a player up, and a talent can even climb past the listed potential or stall well below it.

Because of that, the two things you actually want are a low market value and a high listed potential. The overall rating matters less, since a 66-rated 17-year-old can be developed into a starter over a few seasons if you give them game time.

M. Albert is the pick of the midfielders. An 88 ceiling for €850K is rare, and his pace and dribbling already read well for a 17-year-old at Borussia Dortmund. F. Camarda gives you the best cheap striker project at AC Milan, with an 87 potential and a starting price under a million.

At the back, K. Coulibaly at RC Strasbourg Alsace pairs 75 Defending with an 87 ceiling, making his €2.9M fee a bargain for a decade of stability. In goal, D. Seimen at VfB Stuttgart is the one to grab: 87 potential, a low wage, and a €1.9M price that most clubs can absorb.
