That’s Art! Not Scribbles! Walkthrough in Aniimo (All Four Answers)

Find Shulala in Horizon Square and bring him Panpanta, Bouldus, Pomegg, and Budclaw to collect 120 Glimmer and four paintings.

Find Shulala in Horizon Square and bring him Panpanta, Bouldus, Pomegg, and Budclaw to collect 120 Glimmer and four paintings.

Shulala the painter sets up a four-part guessing game in Astra. Each round, he shows a rough sketch of an Aniimo curled into a ball, drops a vague hint, and asks you to bring that exact creature to him. Guess correctly by holding the right Aniimo in your active party, and you clear the request.

Quick answer: The four sketches are Panpanta, Bouldus, Pomegg, and Budclaw, in that order. Catch each one, place it in your active party, and talk to Shulala to hand it over.

Where to start: Shulala in Horizon Square, Astra

Fast travel to the Horizon Square checkpoint in Astra and turn to the southeast. Shulala stands beside a blank canvas and easel. Talk to him and exhaust his dialogue to trigger the first sketch. The quest is available from early in the game, but you will need to have progressed far enough to reach the catch locations before you can finish it.

The four rounds run in sequence. You must finish one before Shulala offers the next, so return to the same spot after each capture to pick up the following sketch.

Round 1: Panpanta

The first sketch is a Panpanta, a chubby snow-beaver that roams the beach at Echoback Landing in the northwestern part of Idyll. An Alpha Panpanta spawns just northwest of the fast travel beacon, so you can weaken it and capture it with an Anipod. If you prefer, catch a Popota in the same region and evolve it into Panpanta with a Wave Stone once you reach level 39 and have defeated Alpha Panpanta once.

Round 2: Bouldus

In the second sketch, Bouldus appears with its rocky shell; it inhabits Berylline Vale, in Idyll’s north-central area. An Alpha Bouldus appears inside a broad arena toward the region’s north. Defeat and catch that Alpha, or use a Loam Stone on a level 39 Baleetle to trigger the evolution. You also need the Peculiar Rock Ball talent, obtained at Wayfarer II.

Round 3: Pomegg

The third drawing is a Pomegg, an egg-shaped Aniimo with a puffy top and bottom. There are four regional forms (Basic, Snowfield, Highland, and Sea of Flowers), and Shulala accepts any of them. Pomegg wanders in numbers around the Rosetower Woods checkpoint, and the Highland Form spawns in Beast Fang Ridge. If one is already sitting in your box, that works too.

Round 4: Budclaw

The final sketch is a Budclaw, a common Lumin-stage Aniimo. Like Pomegg, it has multiple regional forms, and any of them clears the request. The easiest to grab is the Basic Form in Nimbus Fields, southwest of Mistwoods. Budclaw also appears in Zephyrus Landbridge, Berylline Vale, and Beast Fang Ridge.

How to hand in each Aniimo

Catch the requested Aniimo, then open the Aniimo management menu.
Move that Aniimo into your active battle party so it is deployed with you.
Fast travel back to Horizon Square, summon the Aniimo so it follows you, and talk to Shulala.

The Aniimo has to be in your active party, not just in storage, for Shulala to recognize it.

Rewards: 120 Glimmer and four paintings

A right answer awards 30 Glimmer plus one exclusive painting. Completing all four rounds therefore yields 120 Glimmer and four paintings, which are stored in the Story Items section of your inventory.

  • Panpanta — Afternoon of the Blue Furball
  • Bouldus — Roar of the Bouldus
  • Pomegg — Pointillist Hatching Mel
  • Budclaw — final painting reward

You know each round worked when Shulala congratulates you for guessing correctly and hands over the painting. After the fourth turn-in, the full sequence closes out, and no further sketch appears.
