Legging It Quest Guide: Clearing the Ridgeshade Spiders in Durotar

“Legging It” is an early Horde quest set in Durotar, and it comes down to thinning out a nest of spiders that have moved onto the road south of Razor Hill. You pick it up from Vel’rin Fang, clear the objectives in the rocky bluffs, then report back to Gar’Thok in Razor Hill to close it out.

Quick answer: Kill 6 Ridgeshade Creepers and 6 Ridgeshade Lurkers in southern Durotar, then turn the quest in to Gar’Thok at Razor Hill.

Legging It quest details

This is a low-level task with no prior requirements, so any Horde character can accept it. It is sharable, meaning you can pass it to a party member who is in the area.

Where to find the Ridgeshade spiders

The quest takes place across Durotar’s red, rocky ground, with the area lying south of Razor Hill and to the west of Sen’jin Village. Since the two spider types are found in different areas, identify each one’s habitat before attacking.

Ridgeshade Creepers sit on the upper ridges and along the approaches as you head south from Razor Hill.

If another player is farming the same spiders, invite them to a party. Kill credit is shared, so both of you fill the counters at the same time and finish faster.

How to complete Legging It

Accept the quest from Vel’rin Fang, then head south out of Razor Hill into the red rocky bluffs. This is where the spiders have set up along the road.

Work along the pathways and ridges and kill 6 Ridgeshade Creepers. Each kill ticks the counter up, from “Ridgeshade Creeper slain: 1/6” toward 6/6.

Drop down into the canyon and clear 6 Ridgeshade Lurkers. They are thickest in the central cleft and in the back corners of the ravine, so sweep those pockets to top off the counter.

Once both tallies read 6/6, leave the party if you grouped up and run north back to Razor Hill. Hand the quest in to Gar’Thok to collect the reward.

Confirming the quest is done

You know the objectives are met when both progress lines show 6/6 in your quest log. Turning in to Gar’Thok grants 410 experience and 75 reputation with Orgrimmar, which is your confirmation that “Legging It” is complete. With the road cleared, you are free to keep moving north through Durotar.
