Gauntlet Mode: squad depth over a single best eleven
Gauntlet Mode is a player-versus-AI challenge built around rotation. You climb through a series of rounds, each carrying its own objectives, Traits, and game-altering modifiers. The core twist is that every player item can appear only a limited number of times per run, so you cannot lean on the same lineup the whole way through. Once a card’s appearances run out, you have to swap in someone else to keep going.
Rounds also come with House Rules that change how a match plays. These include Hot Zone, Position Hero, and No Rules. Some matches add scoring zones on the pitch: a shot from a highlighted x3 area multiplies the goal, so a single strike from the right spot can put three goals on the board at once.
Earn Stars by winning matches, then use them to reach milestone rewards along the way. Completing the Gauntlet Kickoff and 3rd Anniversary Gauntlet paths can award up to 45 Stars and about 10,000 Gems, plus the exclusive “Absolute Cinema” animated emote. Two new PlayStyles ship with the update. League Token player exchanges remain capped at 119 OVR cards.
