Alpha Blazen is a fixed open-world boss in Blitzwood, part of the Breezy Plains region in Aniimo. It sits on top of a mountain south of the Blitzwood Bloom, and getting to it means solving a short ancient-ruin puzzle before the fight even starts. The encounter is a Level 45 Electric Aniimo that swings into a fast Overcharged state, and beating it opens a single chance to add Blazen to your roster.

Quick answer: Reach the plateau south of Blitzwood Bloom using the Gravity Pull puzzle, fight with Ice and Dark Aniimo, dodge the Overcharged dashes, break the boss, then catch it with an Aniipod Ultra (100%, Cost 30).

Alpha Blazen location and key details

Alpha Blazen spawns on a high cliff plateau in southern Blitzwood, near coordinates -0762, 0467. Track it from the world map and activate the nearby Blitzwood Bloom first so any repeat run has a short return trip. The area around it sits at regional level 41 to 46.

Reach the plateau with the Gravity Pull puzzle

The base of the cliff holds an ancient-ruin puzzle that gates the climb. You need the Gravity Pull active talent to move the energy orb into its socket, then two launch pads carry you up to the summit. If you already have Gravity Pull learned and slotted, skip straight to socketing the orb.

Open the character menu, go to Talents, and learn the Active Skill Gravity Pull. Learning it costs 1 Report Card. This is the skill that activates a target’s energy field so you can move ancient-patterned objects from a distance.

Open the Skill Set screen and assign Gravity Pull to Mobility Skill Set 1. Without it slotted, you cannot use the skill in the field.

Use Gravity Pull to raise the round ancient energy orb, then set it in the carved stone socket. The launch pad activates and shoots you vertically to a ruin ledge at mid-level.

Thorny growth covers the second launch pad on the ledge. Call a Fire-type Aniimo like Scorchhowl and clear the vines with a fire skill, while keeping any nearby wild Bolty at bay.

Best team setup against Alpha Blazen

Blazen is Electric, so Ice and Dark attacks land as Super Effective. Ice Aniimo are the strongest pick because their attacks hit hard and they also resist Blazen’s Electric damage. Leave Lightning and Fire attackers on the bench, since Blazen resists both.

  • Highly recommended: Ice and Dark elements.
  • Not recommended: Lightning and Fire elements.
  • Bring at least one reliable BREAK partner to open damage windows.

Swap in your Ice and Dark attackers on the plateau before you engage, using the roster screen, so you exploit the weakness from the first hit.

Attack patterns and how to beat it

The fight is built around one mechanic. Blazen warns before entering the Overcharged state, then chains high-speed dashes across the arena and leaves behind afterimages that explode. When that warning appears, stop attacking and focus purely on dodging. Once the state ends, Blazen exhausts itself, its Break resistance drops, and that is your window to break it.

MoveHow to handle it
Flash ChargeCharges forward after a windup; its path shows in red. Move to the edge of the marking.
Claw SwipesA series of swipes ending in a double claw. Keep distance and re-engage after it finishes.
Overcharge StartupMoves to the arena center and fires cross-pattern electric charges, ending in a slam on your position.
Overcharge StateMoves faster and leaves exploding afterimages. A timer by the health bar shows its duration.

Fill the break gauge during the safe windows, then trigger BREAK, which pushes damage to a 250% multiplier. Commit your strongest burst and ultimate skills while that increased-damage window is active. Hold some cooldowns in reserve rather than spending everything at once, so you always have an answer when the Overcharged phase starts.

Catch Alpha Blazen after the fight

When Alpha Blazen is defeated, a two-minute capture timer starts, giving you a single chance after the battle. Twined prevents you from catching it during combat, so wait for the post-battle catch screen. Each attempt costs 30, and your odds vary with the Aniipod you select.

Aniipod TrackLow
Aniipod HyperLow
Aniipod Ultra100%
Sparkling Cube100%

Because there is only one attempt, switch to your most advanced catch item before you commit. An Aniipod Ultra or a Sparkling Cube guarantees the catch outright. A successful catch registers Blazen and its New Stage entry, confirming it joined your roster.

If the catch fails, the encounter is still repeatable, so you can return and clear Alpha Blazen again later.

First clear rewards

Beating Alpha Blazen for the first time grants a one-time reward bundle plus a Wayfarer Title, and the boss drops Roar Stone as a repeatable material. The first-clear rewards are listed below.

  • Roar Stone x5
  • Glimmer x50
  • Safaris x500
  • Irisalis Petal x1
  • Lumin Amber: Breezy Plains x1

Roar Stone is the reason many players keep returning, since it feeds into the Bolty-to-Blazen evolution line. Clear the boss for the rewards, catch the Alpha if you want the copy, and keep the Blitzwood Bloom active nearby to shorten every repeat run.
