Witchbrook drops you into Mossport, a seaside town where you enrol at Witchbrook College and build a life as a trainee witch. The systems now shown off in hands-on play cover academics, spellcasting, broom travel, romance, home decorating, and cooperative play. Here is how each part works and how they fit together.
Quick answer: Witchbrook is a witch life-sim built around studying at college, earning money through deliveries and a business, casting magic, romancing eleven characters, and playing in up to 4-player co-op. It arrives on PC, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and Xbox in 2026.

Academic progress runs through Witchbrook College. You read books in the library to gain knowledge, but a single read does not lock in the information. You have to review texts repeatedly, and knowledge builds up gradually rather than instantly.

What you learn contributes to your studies, opens up additional spells, and helps out in the field—for instance, by revealing where certain herbs grow. Since lessons require tuition, weigh course costs against your earnings. Exams cover your learned material and report results by subject, including herb foraging, beach foraging, and forest foraging.
Earning money: deliveries, requests, and your own business
Because tuition and furniture cost coin, income matters. Mossport gives you several ways to earn it, and you can mix them freely around your class schedule.
- Fulfil town noticeboard requests for specific goods delivered to named addresses.
- Run your own business, such as Fable and Co., and grow its reputation and perks.
- Take on delivery jobs and travel by foot, scooter, or flying broom.
Requests list the item, the drop-off address, the deadline, and the coin reward, so you can plan routes around what pays best and what is due soonest.

Magic casting and broom flight over Mossport
To cast magic, use a circular interface marked with runes: trace or match the required symbol lines within it to trigger the spell. Examples shown so far let you summon a broom, reveal nearby items, draw objects closer with telekinesis, create a hovering orb of light, or bring small rain clouds over your garden crops to water them.

Once you hold a Broomriding License, you can fly at full 3D altitude across Mossport, soaring over buildings with a speed-boost mechanic. Brooms come in different models sold at the Witchbrook College Shop, each with its own price and appearance.
| Broom | Price | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Wooden Broom | 500 | Broomriding License |
| Seabreeze Broom | 750 | Broomriding License |
| Speedster Broom | 750 | Broomriding License |
| Springtime Broom | 1000 | Broomriding License |
| Celestial Heart Broom | 1000 | Broomriding License |
Romance and the eleven datable characters
There are eleven characters you can romance, all covenmates with their own personalities, interests, and story arcs. You build a relationship by spending time with them, giving and receiving gifts, and reacting to their daily routines, which shift with the time of day, weather, and what is happening in their lives.

Mossport expresses affection through cards, available at the post office. There are cards to ask someone out, to go steady, and to break up, plus a rotating seasonal stock. Dates take your partner to two chosen activities, and more than 200 “date chatter” spots across the world let them react to what they see along the way. A good date can lead to another, while going steady unlocks relationship privileges such as sleepovers.
Romance is not required: friendship alone lets you follow each covenmate’s story and learn their history. The point at which a character can be dated varies, based on their circumstances at the time.
A living town: NPCs and vehicle traffic
Mossport keeps running whether you are watching or not. Vehicles and townsfolk are individually simulated even off-screen, which creates emergent traffic and natural interactions as people follow their own routines. Random coven events can also occur around town as you move through it.

Character customization and clothing layers
You create your own witch avatar with selectable skin tone, eye color, and body, including non-binary options. Hair and fringes can be styled at the Fringe Culture salon. Clothing uses an 11-layer system, so you can stack individual pieces such as jackets, skirts or pants, and hats to build a distinct outfit.

Cottage decorating and gardening
You can remodel the two-storey cottage left to you by your late Aunt. Place furniture wherever you like and turn it through a full 360 degrees; neighboring items can also merge, such as two small bookshelves becoming a single large unit. Certain pieces have interactions, including sitting down to study. Harbour Home in the Docklands sells more than 600 furniture pieces with colour swaps, along with clutter and knick-knacks for decorating.
Outside, the garden grows herbs and flowers such as chamomile and lavender. You can water plants manually or use rain magic to speed things along.
Activities outside of class
Between lectures, Mossport offers plenty of side activities to fill your days.
- Fishing along the coast and waterways.
- Bug collecting, with 3D models you can inspect up close.
- Foraging for herbs across the beach, forest, and woodland.
- A multi-ingredient cooking minigame built around coordinated timing.
Character well-being system
Your witch has a daily well-being meter that responds to what you do. Actions like petting animals, social interactions, and going to bed on time affect your mood and efficiency. A Day Summary logs your progress, tracking figures such as money earned, assignments completed, requests fulfilled, merits earned, and an overall well-being rating for the day.
4-player co-op multiplayer
Witchbrook supports online co-op for up to four players, who share the same world as equal protagonists. You can run a business together, while your academic progress stays separate for each player. In multiplayer you can each date a covenmate, and if two of you pursue the same person, it becomes a rivalry until someone goes steady.
Graduation, pacing, and postgraduate studies
An in-game year takes about 40 real-world hours, and graduating is possible after roughly 1.5 in-game years, making the journey to graduation a sizeable commitment. Once you finish, optional postgraduate studies let you keep playing beyond the central objective.
Taken together, these systems point to a witch life-sim where academics, a working economy, magic, and relationships all feed into one another. With a 2026 launch planned across PC, Switch, Switch 2, and Xbox, Mossport is shaping up as a town you settle into rather than simply pass through.
