Graveyard Keeper 2: How to Get Paint

Paint is a basic crafting material in Graveyard Keeper 2, and you have two reliable ways to keep a stock of it. You can buy it outright from a town merchant, or you can produce it yourself in the Alchemy Lab using nothing but Water.

Quick answer: Buy Paint from the Trademaster on the Town pier for 5 silver, or craft it at the Laboratory I bench in the Alchemy Lab by placing Water in both ingredient slots.

Two ways to get Paint

Both methods put a finished Paint item straight into your inventory. Buying is faster if you have coins to spare, while crafting costs only Water once your Alchemy Lab is set up.

Buy Paint from the Trademaster

Head to Town and make your way down to the wooden pier by the docks. The Trademaster stands there and handles trading.

Approach the merchant and use the [E] Speak prompt, then choose the Trade option to open the shop interface.

Find Paint in the Tier I list and purchase it for 5 silver. The item drops into your inventory as soon as the trade completes.

Craft Paint at the Laboratory I bench

Crafting Paint yourself only needs Water, but the Alchemy Lab has to be ready first. Make sure the following are in place before you start.

Access to the Alchemy Lab under the Inquisition Base.
Conical glass flasks stocked on the Flask shelf.
At least 2 units of Water on hand.

Enter the Inquisition Base and go down into the underground Alchemy Lab where the alchemy workbenches are placed.

Check the Flask shelf and confirm it holds glass conical flasks. Without flasks available, the alchemy bench cannot produce the item.

Open the Laboratory I workbench and place Water into the first ingredient slot, then place Water into the second slot as well.

Press the Craft button, then hold the [E] Mix prompt to run the mixing action at the bench.

Confirm you have the Paint

Whichever route you take, the finished Paint appears directly in your inventory. Open the Character screen and look in the item grid to confirm the Paint is there before you move on.
