The Aniipod Ultra is a Legendary-quality Aniipod. Its in-game description reads: “A rare Aniipod that guarantees successful Aniimo capture. The Potential rating of the caught Aniimo will be at least Elite.” That gives it two guarantees no other capture tool of its price combines.
- Guaranteed capture: the target is caught with a 100% success rate, so there is no failed throw to recover from.
- Elite floor on quality: the Aniimo you catch will have a Potential rating of Elite or higher, never below it.
Only the Sparkling Cube sits above it, guaranteeing both a catch and Perfect Potential with the Sparkling trait. Everything below the Aniipod Ultra, from the standard Aniipod up to the Mega and Hyper tiers, only changes your odds rather than fixing the outcome.
When to use it
Because the item is scarce and each one is a guaranteed catch, save it for targets you cannot afford to lose. The clearest case is an Alpha Aniimo. These have very low catch rates with ordinary Aniipods, and you only get one capture attempt after defeating one, so an Aniipod Ultra turns that single chance into a certain result at Elite quality or above.
It also works on Aniimo above your current character level, which lets you claim creatures from higher-level areas earlier than usual. A third use is hatching eggs: throwing one during the Twine step guarantees an Elite Potential result, though some eggs already promise Elite or Perfect, so check before spending one.
Do not spend an Aniipod Ultra on a common wild Aniimo you could catch with a cheaper pod. The guaranteed Elite floor is wasted on a creature you do not plan to keep.
Cost and weekly limit
In the Glimmer section of the shop, one Aniipod Ultra costs 200 Glimmer, with a cap of 10 per week that resets weekly. The same item can also be bought with 200 Lumin Crystals, but those are a premium currency, so Glimmer is the cheaper route for most players.
