Mythic Refinement Ore is the gating material in Slayers 2 for pushing weapons past Level 5 and for crafting V2 and Damascus weapons. Chest and fishing drop sources
Mythic Refinement Ore also drops directly from chests, though at low rates. The Archives menu lists every source and its chance. Sealed Cache tiers scale upward, and world event chests share the top rate, so completing events and opening higher-tier caches gives you the best passive odds.

What Mythic Refinement Ore is used for
The ore has two roles. It refines weapons above Level 5 at Refiner Hagane, and it is a core ingredient for Tier 2, Mythic, and Damascus weapons crafted at Blacksmith Togane’s Nichirin Forge on Floor 76. Because crafts each demand ten ore, most players are better off stockpiling rather than spending single ore on refinement rolls.
Refining past Level 5 at Refiner Hagane
Upgrading a weapon beyond Level 5 requires Mythic Refinement Ore in the recipe. Taking a Volcanic Katana from Level 5 to Level 6 costs 1 Mythic Refinement Ore, 5 Refinement Ore, and 328 Wen, with only an 8% success chance. Refinement Guard is optional. The low odds are why saving ore for guaranteed crafts is usually the stronger choice.
Crafting V2 and Damascus weapons
At the Nichirin Forge, Blacksmith Togane’s Mythic recipes each need 10 Mythic Refinement Ore plus other materials and Wen. Access requires unlocking the dungeon area and completing the Forge quest, which generally opens up around Level 65.
