Budclaw Location in Aniimo: Fastest Way to Catch No. 023

Budclaw is Aniimo No. 023, a Lumin-stage creature with the Rock and Grass elements and a Break role. It roams a handful of Breezy Plains locations in pairs, but the quickest place to grab one is a small lily pond just below a fast-travel node.

Quick answer: Teleport to the Bloom node north of Beast Fang Ridge (-1248, 1530), glide down the cliff to the pink water lilies, and capture a wild Budclaw in the shallow water.

Fastest route: Bloom waypoint to the lily pond

Budclaw appears in several regions, but the pond next to the Bloom fast-travel point puts you within a short glide of a spawn. Follow these steps in order.

Open the world map and find the Bloom teleport point sitting north of Beast Fang Ridge, near coordinates -1248, 1530. Bloom nodes draw large numbers of Aniimo, so the surrounding wetland is a reliable spawn area.

Select the Bloom node and teleport to it. You will load in on high ground overlooking the wetland below.

Run to the edge and glide down the cliff slope toward the pond dotted with pink water lilies. Wild Budclaws gather in the shallow water near the rocks and lily pads.

Open your Aniimo roster and select the new Budclaw entry. A filled No. 023 slot with its Basic Form, stats, and skills showing confirms the capture worked.

Budclaws mate for life and travel in pairs, so a second one is usually nearby if the first slips away.

Budclaw is a Break-role Aniimo built around its high BREAK value. It is strong against Fire and Ice and weak to Grass and Water. Its base stats total 454.

Budclaw trait, mobility, and combat skills

Budclaw’s trait is Stealth. Skills that deal damage generate Momentum, up to 6 stacks, and tunneling doubles the rate. At 6 stacks, BREAK efficiency gains a 30% boost for 20 seconds.

Its mobility skill is Tunnel, which digs underground to make Budclaw immune to all ranged attacks while draining stamina. Pound skills can still knock it out of the tunnel and into the air.

Budclaw carries three combat skills:

Verdant Beam — fires an energy beam toward the camera, dealing continuous damage that gains Might on consecutive hits.
The Luminus Gust — spins Cores around itself for continuous damage and applies an Earth Debuff for 5.5 seconds (Rock element, 10 EP, power 35, 8s cooldown).
Leaf Slash — spins leaves around itself, dealing damage for 5.5 seconds.

Once captured, Budclaw can evolve at level 21 into one of two Nova-stage forms:
